Ok theres been a change of plans.

At the moment we are about 30% away from having the full funds for a 2 year dedi. Yes we are going straight dedi with this, because of a lot of implications that we are adding to the server.

We estimate that within a week, we should hit a player count of 30+ and may rise more after that.

I know that this seems a bit forward for us to predict this, but from some of the feed back we have had from outside testers. This has come back very positive and they are very happy with sum of the features that we have added.

The due date for the release of the server is going to be january 08, as we aint rushing to get it up and we dont want any bugs that can be exsploited ether.

So just watch this space.

It's upto you but i wouldnt pay more than 3 months at a time for a dedi no matter what the deals are.

Simple reason, lookup some such as VRTServers, people pay a years fee and a month later its cut off.

I agree, it will take you a little while to find out what server is good for you etc and paying more than a month on your first month is a bad decision. If after a month everything seems good then you coulkd proberbly consider paying more but as MQ said you could end up with hosts like VRT lol

Dont worry about it guys, as ive got contacts in the industry and have found a dedi company who supply dedicated servers to about 60% of my clients.

We are also purchasing 2 dedis as well anyway for another project we have got up and unning. So the 2 years dedi works out better for us in the long run anyway.

There's 3 on the team, only 2 have GM accounts.

We want more GM's for the time frame, as we cant be on 24/7 due to work and other restrictions. Infact you will be lucky if im on for more than an hour a day when it goes live.

The whole idea though, is to have a community that can count on us and not have to worry about things ingame. So at least that way there will be support 24/7. Also GM accounts will be resticted to what time slot they are on.

Its just a way of making the community feel secure that no matter what happens there will be a at least 1 GM on at ne one time.

GM positions are nearly always abused...fed up of corrupt servers.
If I ever made a server I would only have 1 gm and that would be the owner..sounds good though but just from reading this it puts a nagging thought into my mind

Thats an old post m8, theres only going to be 2 GM's ingame. Myself and Deltascape who is co owner.
