The server is almost ready for testing. I will be asking for testers in the next 12-48 hours. I have been going back and forth on the experience rates... I do not want to make it high due to the fact that people will get bored fast. I want a long term server with long term players. Although it will take awhile for players to accumulate, it shall be worth it in the long run.
Do you want a high rate server which you can mess about it and get bored extremely quicky? Or a lowrate which would take time to develope into a long term server?
I need some anwsers from you guys... Most of you are still thinking short term here... (High Exp.) Are you 100% sure thats what you want? Most highrates never really last that long if you look at the mir2/3 sections... Within a month they already have their first wipes, some even wipe weekly. Some go up and down so much its just plain stupid. So I ask you ... What do you want.

Low rate , high rate gets borring very fast what is cool to be lvl 44 when there are 50 running around, player who are not lvling that fast never will have a chance in wars and its not cool to have a good kit when every body got it ...
well on the d net i remember it took me a reasonably long time to get my tao to 45 lol but it was worth it as i was the highest tao in game till i quit and then i was overtaken lol the highest lvls i remember b4 i left where around 47-8
And if DragonNet(x10 exp) would be still on it would still be the best mir3.It depends what you want but hight exp is best if you add new areas and new maps and new items for hight lvl ppl no one will get borredaleano said:

Alrighty. Just got home. Nothing much to say at the moment, so I will keep it short. I've decided to keep experience rates at around 3-5x.(Depending on the monster)

Oh.. Just remembered. I will be needing mirror's for the client... I know it is massive client and all... Its just I cannot afford to host it for long on my webserver. I only have only purchased limited amounts of bandwidth(Due to I do not have much cash atm) So if anyone would be willing to help me out , I would be greatful.

well imo i like:
fast lvlin servers (7-10x)
new items
caves
mobs so we dount get bored
just few idea's

Testing will start in a few hours, so please send me a pm if you are interested in 'testing'. I will send you the basic .CIN and DragonNetCP. You will need the chinese 1.4 client patched to 1.7.
Note:Test accounts will NOT be deleted when the server is ready to go public.(Unless something goes majorly wrong .)

So, your planning to bring back a successful server, one that you never played a part in the creating of. All done by Zenith, with the exception of the crap at the end. Made by bashman and was really the death of the server.
Totally unfair in my estimations, unless of course you have zeniths consent to call it this. Ill talk to him in the next few days to find out for myself if you have.
You dont have the original files, or anything to do with the server, just a cleans set of files, and using its name?
Ill appologise when i hear from Zenith he's allowed someone else to use the name/files from the old dragonnet. DragonNet was, and if came back now, still would be the number one Mir3 server around. Shame sabuk wars were spoiled by the poor specs of zeniths hosting box. AlphaOmega Guild tbh, we ruled the server
Its basically like me making a mir2 server and calling it weown - reborn.
And making it similar to the original, no1 will accept that, why should you be able to do this?
Totally unfair in my estimations, unless of course you have zeniths consent to call it this. Ill talk to him in the next few days to find out for myself if you have.

First off leave the incident between you and Bashful out of this, its not my problem.
Secondly, I do not think Zen will ever be returning to the wonderful world of hosting. After his 'ISP' problem he just got fed up with hosting DNet, he wasn't getting anything out of it. I still have his email on my old messenger from the days we planned on making a Ragnarok server for the DNet community.(Also mir2(Illusion), which I hosted along side him until we were informed of some major expliots)
I was the second or third person to ever play on DNet, I loved (Many of us did) it before it turned into the highrate 'thing' that no longer exists. Zen wasn't a fan of high rates, but he did as his players demanded.
If I can get into contact with Zen again(Hopefully he still uses his old email), maybe I could convince him to join with my resources.
You can go ahead and have sand in your pants/make a huge deal out of it. Most of us are hear to just have fun.

Vital Elementz was the best mir3 server i've ever played, it was good exp (enough to keep you lvlin) and it wasn't too fast to make you get bored

Update.
Everythings running smoothly. I would like to thank the ones who have dedicated the time to test and report bugs. The server should be ready for action in 2-4 days.(Estimations may be shortened or stretched depending on the obstacles that may arise) I would like to once again state that accounts from the testing period will not be deleted upon full opening of the server.
And...
Sorry for the frequent reboots, this is afterall the time to fix bugs.
