Always an interesting topic and even more interesting to see peoples comments....

Is (or rather was) this a myth?... No... There was a drop area limit and if there was a wall/people inside this drop zone you could potentially loose items outside of this limited area; as for standing position, this made no difference, and the area was fairly large I believe.

Does it exist on Chronicles... No... I removed the drop area limitation when monsters like EvilMir/OrcWarLord came about as their drops were being limited by the drop zone.

:D

Its not a myth.

Everyone knows better stuff drops the further away you are from walls. Its simple really. If I fall over next to a wall chances are I can use it to catch myself enough so that both my phone and wallet don't fall out of my pocket. But if I'm in the middle of a room im ****ing spreadeagled mate, theres coins, phones, wallets, house keys, car keys everywhere. The real question is, how to bosses carry all that **** without pockets? I guess they have..er..orifices..Also haven't they heard of storage? What kind of King handles his own cash anyway.

Wtf does Body luck actually do!? 0.o

NEW THREAD!!!!
It's funny, some of the people I know who had the highest gemmed items swore by body luck. Never PKed, never went brown, leveled, never died and they had some crazy + stuff.

This goes along the same lines of people believing that if you let pets finish it off it decreases the chance of better drops.. As far as I'm aware nothing increases KR decreases chance of better drop it's all down to blind luck...

I have a question though if anybody has the answer?

Is a boss/mobs drop determined when it spawns in or at the point it's killed?

I understand that we see the bedt drop in the top left of mob most times because the drop system will clocl thro the chances from lowest to highest.
So if you drop an item it lands top left of you.
Boss kill will run thro a series of rolls.
Para 1/10000 - fail
Tele 1/10000 - fail
Life neck 1/100 - pass
And so that item takes the first availible spot. it then runs through the rest.

So if in open u will see in top left but if in cluster it will still drop but 99% of the time it will be stacked on top due to drop roll priorities.

this is just my thought.
So it makes mo difference but if you want to instant see the drop do it in space

Bang on, it would only make a difference if the floor was so full it couldn't take any more items but usually the drop files will start with the better items so even if a few spaces are free you will get the drop.
