Having just really started playing the server my evaluation may be way off the mark, but are level 43 weps and good items not dropping a little too much? Iv noticed a major decrease in price in some big items within the 2-3weeks iv been ingame - is this intentional? Don't want to throw countless hours at a server only to find a dead market in a couple months and another wipe :)

Thoughts?

Most people are well past 43 now, the new stat 50 weapons are better and there's another tier above that to be introduced in due course so there's still plenty to play for. The bosses that drop 43 weapons are pretty much killed as they spawn now too so bound to be more dropping (and the drop rates were upped a while ago)

weapons and items do drop in price once the big guilds have them it allows the smaller guilds and solos to eventually get
their wanted items. its tough luck for the people who want to make money on here but thats life . wipe? never had a wipe on here

Ok, I guess I'm just going by past experiences with servers dying after item flooding - but if it's in the gameplan im all for it!

Chronicles is over a year old and has never had and never will have a wipe, we are not that kind of server.

Rates for the level 43 weapons have not been changed in over 6 months, level 50 weapons where changed and stats where upped (43 weapons are not the best now and why should they be)

Do not take this the wrong way but you have been playing a 14 month old server for 2 weeks. Things are the way we want them, the server has moved past level 40 items and TBH it's about time the prices of these dropped after over a year.

Level 50+ items (including defense only ones) are in the pipeline as well as stuff upto level 60 so you really have nothing to worry about.

Chronicles still has a long way to go yet

Thats great baby.. One thing i kinda noticed and thinks abit silly and you maybe should have reviewed better in a non harsh way... Was 50 weaps. They dropped like crazy first few days, alot of big guilds/people got them. Noticed youve lowered drops now. Which id personally say is abit unfair and given others an slight advantage. I think you should have kept 50 weps not too rare personally. Give people incentive to level to 50... And made a rare good stated 52 wep like sowg's bos's etc are at 43.

I admitted my potential ignorance - was just voicing my concern! As I said I am just going by past experiences ha :)
And I was referring to the AceM2 wipe/merge/whatever it was.
The future looks bright!

Agree with this. So many very rare items could be put in game at all lvls with same skins.

example for warrior:

lvl 33 Axe of destruction (same skin as g axe) dc 0-38 extremely rare

lvl 46 Evil wargod sword ( sameas swog) dc 15-50 extremely rare

etc etc

I also would love to see a samurai sword lol with some speed+ :D but thats just personnel lol

Thats what i mean make 50
Weps not so rare... So people have insentive to hit level 50 for the weapon. Id personally make 50 weps same stats as 43 weps or something like that. Then make a rare version maybe level 50 or 52 with good stats, be nice to see people with diff weps, rather than everybody running arojnd with same weps

if the stats get any higher than the warrior one already the server is ****ed....

63 dc on war wep whats next 70+ sword?

before they start adding **** like this they need to balance the classes server has no balance at all.]

not to mention warriors get more dc on there weps and they 1-2 hit people.

before you know it warriors be 1 hitting with slaying on.

Seems fine to be honest, there's only one thing I'm concerned about and that is stats getting to a point where fights are 1hit or quitters and aren't in the least bit fun. It's starting to get that way.

At some point the team should revise boosting every classes health pool and/or defensive stats gained per level at once to combat this. Other than that, servers doing fine.

or as someone else said defence stats could be improved as well as health pool

But... low hp classes should always be in danger in tough PvE situations so i could be hard to balance. Mobs may have to hit harder

I think a standard hp boost would effect pve a little too much personaly. You would get 2 archers toe to toeing izt and the like. (If they dont already)
its the simple blizzard style fix 'double everything and call it an expansion"
things like steel gauntlets were a good idea but never seemed to go any further. If wars did not ignore ac items that could be good and probably get used would be a ac 3-6 dc 0-4. A new gold brace style item too amc 4-8 prime stat 1-4 and so on.

Increasing hp might work but increasing def just makes wars even stronger as their main attack ignores def anyway

I was talking to a couple of cool headed wars the other day.
a compromise they seemed happy with was to make tdb ignore 50% AC instead of 100%.
i still think it should be zero ignore but that change would allow balance going forward, providing it was tested thoroughly as not to effect the damage output too much for ip and coming wars.

But yes.
while we have a primary skill that can be used every swing that ignores AC, there really isnt any point adding AC items as it will rock the pvp balance further.
