Drop rate buffs

Does the 20% drop rate buff increase the chance for gold to drop? Then the gold buff increase that amount by 20%? Or are gold drops separated out of the drop database with it being personal loot?

Mostly curious as when I'm cashing I normally only use the gold buff, but it would make some sense for both to work.

I think it works as how you described at first, Gold is a drop so the drop buff increases your chance of getting it, then the gold buff increases the dropped amount by that % but, I could be totally wrong haha!!

That makes no sense they could work in the way in which Unlucky described.. Therefore both should be available

I would need to check the source, however it is my belief that:

Gold rate only effects Gold
Drop rate only effects items.

Thanks for confirmation. It does feel like subs are dropping more gold for me, so I'll keep using the 20%, even if it's just my imagination

(If it is bugged, please don't go and fix it, people have been enjoying 40% gold for months now and it'd be unfair on newbies to remove that, just let them know that's how it works if you do check the code?).
