hi Jamie,

just wondering why cant dura orbs be made ?

I know some ppl would say becasue dont like the idea of who/ever having their items last forever, but you could impose how many times an item can be dura orbed.

only asking cos I just lost 4 dura on repairing armor for 1st time :disgust:

Yea dura gems are useless the break rate isn't very friendly I thing craft able dura orbs should need 50gems instead of 25 but would deffo like to see them added

How could there ever be a healthy market when the higher levels getting the higher teir items keep them, then when they have full set gem the spares.

Noobs cant afford to buy them should they go for sale.

Noobs cant hunt them for themselves to sell, because you need a maxed high teir kit from the previous cave to hunt endgame. By the time theyre hunting the caves themselves, they want the items aswell.

In a nutshell, i wouldnt worry about any kind of market because one will never form. The only consistent market at the moment is the consumables market... Gems, benes, craft materials and such.

Dura orb away, but make it something that the higher levels wont accrue over time by doing nothing different. Make it require something from farming low exp mobs, or make the orbs drop like power jewels from sub level 40 mobs. Something to bridge the gap between elite and coal.

what the **** u chatting about bro its not about the high levels infact the high levels already dont lose dura cos they can hunt dura orbs alot easier than low levels and doesnt take them long to run to fox boss to get full repairs the high levels practically solo it so the only ppl really who get ****ed over by dura is the lower lvls mate idk who u are in-game but you chat alot of crap surely u cant be one of the active players

Dura orbs are way to rare thats the problem, Dura's go fast with the sort of cave's thats in Marble.. I've had 1 dura orb ever after killing countless amount of ****.

I feel youre taking this small game far too seriously. Go outside.

My point was if theyre added to crafter, dont just make them require X amount of dura gems.

GFS shouldnt repair either what a dumb mechanic on an easy action.

at the moment people leave dura gems on the floor. im only asking as you seem so active on forums yet your opinions are always out of touch with what actually is going on in game which is why i wondered if u even play this server or just come on forums to argue with people

i understand what GM was saying about wanting them to just be a rare boss drop, but with how the server has advanced theres a lot more game-breaking stuff in crafting menu (such as class change scrolls) that wasnt previously there and i cant see how adding dura orbs is gonna affect much apart from making peoples kit last abit longer before it becomes trash with max dura 3 ;)

not a massive issue as fox set stuff can be rerolled for added stats and when u reroll it you will get the max dura refreshed so wont be a problem at all

im not taking game too seriously but u going on like adding craftable dura orbs is gonna break anything or even have any affect on the market is silly. ts not gonna matter much either way as once jamies mir3 server is done i will be on there instead.

give the people what they want!

I said add them, seems like its you after arguments for the sake of it.

I play a bit. Evil Mir is the biggest problem imo the stats on Mir kit is pathetic and only 0.01% of people can farm them cause nobody else has RecoveryRings.

not sure what should be done with dura orbs. Some have 500+ Gems in there store. Will give it some thought.

Tbh i like the special repair on fox boss, when it came in it was super hard to kill, now its hard to get there if you don't have big MR or a decent group, tbh its the reason most people kill that boss.

Dura Orbs.. hmm 25 dura gems.. At this rate nobody even wants to pick up dura gems.. they only good for increasing dura on shop items before gemming anyways..

It wouldn't break the economy either. Dura Orbs have been FULLY tested on the first server to introduce gems/orbs into private server world... and it didn't break anything.. it just allowed people to feel reassured they're items will last longer if they spend money on orbs..


@Jamie - If I remember correctly, since mir2.3 Dura orbs were only able to be used twice on any item.. Would be nice for them to be unlimited usage.. but the looks of a dura 20 item that's regularly dura 5-9 would be a little dumb and might scare some people making them think some people will never lose there kit... but then one day that person would sell that item..

+ dura orbs can only be created as fast as the gems drop and at this rate ur talking max 5-10dura orbs a day if server count peaked and everyone grinded gems.. I recommend making dura orbs take 50 durability gems aswell. And a max of 4 dura orbs added to an item(with a counter somewhere for dura reinforcement) that way people know the item they have has been dura orb'd


Just realize it wouldn't destroy the market. but rather expand its capacity for long-term items, and the risk to make an item then dura orb it.

well ive got about 100 and ive been collecting them for ages in the hope they will be usefull like when poison gems were useless and then improved didnt have as many of them but as i always pick them up and have only used about 10 of them max of which about 3 of them have ever worked so i personally wont majorly benefit much. it will increase their sell value tho so cant see whats so bad

Lets be sure its not too crazy.. other wise the dura orb will only be used on high-end items thus taking away a very interesting game play for a newb using one. But also giving that newb a new pocket book if he chooses to sell the gems :)
