Not necissarily, some home networking kits can be even easier than crossover cabling :P

But yeah, Crossover should be the easiest, and the cheapest :P

a cross over would be the quickest and probably cheapest in the short term. But i would reccomend a hub/switch etc, so that if you get any more/new/extra/whatever comps then you can just add them in realtively easily.
