EI Client Crashing

Hi guys,

i've tried both olymp and fantasy servers, and it happens on both

i install the game fine....

i apply the patches no probs........

i get into the game, make a char, no problems.....

however, when i start the game up again (after pc reboot) i run the .exe and my game crashes on startup (at the wemade entertainment logo) which then crashes my pc and causes it to auto reboot

any suggestions? this is the weirdest thing ever to happen on my pc

strange how it works after install but then crashes after reboot

u both sure got no virus or such?
had have probs runnin the client with certain virusscanners on as well
and make sure to use the mir4.exe or miro.exe then starting the client

if ur running Windows XP right click the shortcut to the client exe mir4.exe and chooes compatibility from the tabs at the top. Where it has the drop down list saying Run this program in compatibility mode for: select Windows 2000

Think there was a post about kb824141 on fantasy forum causing probs with EI if u installed this patch from microsoft that may be whats causing you problems.

I had the problem of EI keep minimizing then i read about kb824141 so i uninstalled it and hey presto it was fixed

Had the same prob ended up beingthe standard windows graphics drivers. Downloaded the latest for my card and no prob.
Also you can got to system properties, advanced, startup and recovery and untick automatically reboot. That way you get to read the error.

Has that guy said earlier did u try of what Windows u are on so u are on Windows 98 why not drop slide it 2 Windows 98 and try that hun if not i cant help u im no good with Ei and had same problem agerus ago reinstalled it about 5time's and it didnt work so just gave up on it.

Lol right click on mir3 client then change it 2 Windows 98 if u are on Windows 98 then try it hun .

i havent got a windwos 98 button

anything else i can do?

Leanne hun go click on all tabs on top when u right click and press properties then click all tabs till u find Compatibly and scroll down on Compatibly till u find Windows 98 and click it and try that .

I have same problem.. can anyone help?
I installed mir client, then a couple of updates from www.mirworlds.co.uk...

I get to login server, log in... create a character and all is well..
But then when I press "Enter", Mir crashes to desktop...

Compatability mode isn't changing anything and although I think I downloaded the Windowsupdate file a while ago, it isn't in my add/remove programs list..

Any help anyone?

I get a noticeboard screen now... managed to fix minimising problem...

But now nomatter what server I am on.. I get really bad lag after a few seconds to the point that I can't move.. then it crashes again

Right, have you tried using someone else's Mir3.exe?
