I have finally got my DB and DBserver working but when i run EIserver.exe i get:

Map file cannot be loaded, code -1

My maps are located in my Envir folder btw

any help plz??

lol uve fixed it now, remember? ur new prob is it crashing at the connect screen (the ine before char select) which i don't know how to fix because i've never had that problem

i create char...and click login....it then says:

Connecting to server...........

and it just sits there......doin nowt

If you get any errors basicaly you wont get past the wating screen. Make sure in !setup.txt that ur map directory points to your clients map files. In dbsrv config make sure the map directory is in envir cos its ur mapinfo it wasnt not ur maps. If you get errors from eiserver.exe saying cannot find map, find them or go into ur mapinfo.txt and but a colon infront of the maps you aint got. Worked for me anyhow.

i create char and all, opn char select screen i click 'login' and the animation runs......then it says 'connecting to server.........' and does nothing..EVER lol

Do you get any errors at all when you open EIserver.exe?

Nope...takes ages tho.....at the end it keeps opening and closing gates 1 and 0 tho :S

i had a same problem (black screen or waitin connection after select chara) with you when i run on 1.5mb exe and 2.12mb exe. but works fine with 1.12mb exe. and i have translated everything. typical eh
