Why would someone that is hacking a game server want to change your email password? You probably typed it wrong....

Because most likely you have used your email address as your id for you paypal account? And you potentially have an email from paypal with sensitive data that could access the account its self... Then spend all your moniessssss...

Serious business, I hope it was a coincidence.

Hadn't really thought of that if I am honest. I don't use paypal but surely they don't send passwords etc in emails?

If it was changed and isn't a coincidence, maybe they are targeting people who they know have bought gold / donated a lot to the server.

Like idontheal and yourself said, hopefully this is a coincidence.

I also got an email from apple similar, I've changed my passwords just incase and deleted my cards off the sites and signed up to the advanced security where they send your phone a 6 digit code before you can purchase transfer or sell,

Everything else my emails signed up for has no cards or needs security numbers from back of card

Well in all honesty... Serves you right for using same email address and password. This could be the kick in the teeth you needed to change it :P
