Some braindead ex server host / host is using accounts from his database and logged into about 30 of my users accounts. and i bet im not the only one. its happened TODAY al at once and the chances of getting that info by chance are slim, also these users of mine do have accounts on other servers. Who ever it is..... We're gonna LOVE every screenie that our users post of them taking you down :D

How do you know its an ex server host, it could also be a current one.

Could an admin check lomcn for the ip and see if its asciacted with an account here and also the ip's need to be checked with servers as well incase they are using there dedi.

Also please remeber that dynamic IP's do change....

yes they do but turbo said it was a static ip so it wouldnt change....

the accounts accessed were not random, they were accessed in alphabetical order like someone had a list of username and passwords and went through one by one, the only way someone could have that information would be from an accounts database.

We know for sure it wasnt a direct hacking as why would they go for new accounts and not the high level or GM accounts or indeed the databases.... it was definatly done through username and passwords

due to the fact that they has about 40 names a - z makes me think that this list wasnt too big therefore could be a server thats only just been set up, or someone who has access to a server that has only just been set up...

Hopefully the staff here can give us server hosts some info .

@ server hosts.. happy to help, although wemight not always get along, keeping something like this would only be detrimental to the mir community and we trust you all woukd do the same should the situation arise

First thing I did was check my MSN list, not on mine.. Xtreme is huge so was a good target me thinks.

There are a couple of "fairly" recent servers I have seen online that give me (and probably a few others) an idea of who it could be..

If I remember correctly, some servers did not use firewall to block certain ports (DB/Login). The server is pretty much wide opened for hackers.

All I think this tells us is that you should at least create a unique password for each server you play, something that's been said time and time again...

I did a search on LOMCN yesterday for the Ip and email and came up blank

There is not 1 user on LOMCN that matches that IP
