It wasn't just rooney that played rubbish it was the whole team even using that formation i can't understand how they played so crap, looking at all the other teams play we look like one of the worse lets just hope we get it right on wednesday.
England really need to go out and win on Wednesday, no holds barred just go for it and win big
If I was manager I would play 3,4,1,2 with Gerrard between midfield and attack, stick Joe Cole in midfield, and have Crouch with Rooney
That way Gerrard can feed Crouch and Rooney and long balls and crosses will have Crouch to aim for and he can score with his head or knock to ball down to Rooney
I dont even watch a lot of football and I can see this

To play a system in such a big game thats never been tested or worked on would be insane, not to mention the fact of we dont have enough cover/experience to play 3 centre backs (which u wud need to with that system)
like i said before the tournament started, 4-5-1 with gerrard playing off rooney like gerrard is most effective at liverpool with torres playing off him, and like rooney is most effective at man utd as a lone striker, then u can have joe cole left mid to kinda play keep ball aswell as his creativity, then lamps n barry centre mid, barry holding and lamps also getting forward, then id have milner right mid to help barry with his defensive struggles and to give glenn johnson more freedom to attack.

The only player that was putting effort in on the pitch was Barry and thats coming back from an injury so I wouldnt exactly say the WHOLE team, and yea Rooney's worst performance I've seen, very sloppy. God knows why they play Lampard and Gerrard at the same time because it never worked and probs never will, Wright-Philips and Lennon should always start together or at least be on at the same time with their pace on the wings, Barry and Gerard in mid Lampard is ... well a spoon missed far to many shots/pen's for England thats if it's 4-4-2, I do agree they need to change the formation.
To be fair to the players it could be down to the stlye Fabio plays them.

Before the cup started it seemed like nearly every match the commentators would be praising the link up between Rooney and Gerrard.

Thats worse than the 442, if England are to have any chance at all on Wednesday then it needs to be 424. As we need those strikers up front to pull Rooney out the ****.

France haven't really played any worse than England, they just haven't got away with it like England has.
England can at least look at the situation and say that although they have been terrible they are still in control of whether they qualify or not, in most groups they would be relying on other results by now.

ye gerrard needs to play behind rooney,hes fkin pointless on the wing as hes our best midfielder.lampard is **** for england he shud be benched.he shud put joe cole on the left defo give him a chance.he shud av also took walcott instead of shaun wright phillips,also heskey needs to retire he is fkin ****
