What we thinking of England this year, and Gareth Southgate? Do we think the English FA will still have him at the helm after the Euro's?
My honest opinion is that we're lucky to be in the Euro's still. As it stands we're going to be up against Netherlands, and honestly, they're playing much better attacking football than us. We're so boring to watch, so many players played out of their natural position, no real attempts to get runs in behind their defensive line, and when we do we're caught offside most of the time.
I'm still absolutely puzzled how Antony Gordon isn't getting game time. His attacking football and overlapping runs are second to none at the moment. Cole Palmer has started to get more time, but honestly, he should be starting. Despite Saka's goal today, I feel he hasn't done much for England in a little while. Great for club though.
Kane needs to be benched. For me, he doesn't do enough. He doesn't offer any energy, hardly chases players down, comes out of position and leaves so much room open with no one covering for those vital passes. Personally, either Ivan Toney or Ollie Watkins need to be starting. That being said, of course Southgate isn't going to drop his captain, he has too much favoritism for his players.
