autopatcher problem

I have been trying to set up the autopatcher using the anonymous ftp access, however I get the following error message when trying to run the patcher which Leo supplies:

---------------------------
Legend of Mir AutoPatch
---------------------------
Can not read the update information.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

The information ive supplied is correct but it doesnt seem to like something?

Also leo's plist generator program, are there any more detailed guides on how exactly to use it & why it doesnt gzip the files you put into it?

Does the error result instantly?

Check these:
File name:Mir2Patch.ini
Contents:
Code:
[PATCH_FTP]
ServerIP=ftpaddress
Port=21
userid=anonymous
[email protected]
BaseDirectory=./
ListFile=!plist.lst

Unless leo or euro has changed the program in the past 2 months, then both are incompatible due to different plist setup.
Pretty sure you just drag and drop and the files gzip anyway

Im pretty sure it only gives that error if the Mir2Patch.ini cannot be found.
So unless you don't have the exe and the ini in the same folder I dont have a clue

If it cannot connect to the FTP it says "connection to autopatch failed" and if it cannot find the plist I think there is yet a different error.

kaoris autopatcher causes a problem for a small minority of people, they just cant connect to the server and receive the list file. normally firewalls bring up a request if there is a connection so im guessing they allowed it...

does anyone else have this problem?

when did you talk with me about this?
I wonder if your user can actually connect to your plist or gz files directly using browser.
It is possible that your server actually blocked some traffic.

spoke to you about it at the end of June

i will ask them to try the address manually in a browser.

Although I have had some reports that for some users Java 1.6 doesnt work properly and they have had to use Java 1.5 (but for most people 1.6 works)
