I have an external HDD, and as i reinstalled Windows on my laptop, i stupidly left it plugge in and selected "Delete partition" on the XP Setup page... So deleted everything from the HDD.
When i plug the HDD in it no longer shows in My Computer, so cannot use it to store files on! I can see it in Disk management just shows as "Disk 1 Unallocated"
Anyway I can get ti working like a normal external HDD? Also any chance of recovering the files? lol
edit: Managed to give it a drive letter. Wants me to reformat it before I use it though... Which I'm reluctant to do as will make my slim chances of recovering the data even more slim?
