As a 'Sin. how the hell am I meant to be able to clear that cave before the timer runs out?

Are there less mobs in the cave for taos? If other classes struggle how is a tao ment to do it.

I did it in the end, got the same advise as deano gave,
Bought 3 impact's and just destroyed with 2 mins to spare!

Taos can just run around with pets poison them all and keep summoning pets, you have 10 mins to shut down a pretty small cave

They must of changed the time because I got kicked out half way through 3rd impact drug, i also had storm drugs, Dragonrings, Greenbead necklace on and added deathgauntlets and i still couldn't kill them quick enough as a sin, total pain in the ass of a quest, I know level 40+ sins who can't do it and its for a lvl 35 wep? I also heard that some people just killed the two boss mobs and could open chest, which sucks

Do you mean the entire quest chain, or the clearing out the cave specifically?

For the quest chain it'll vary. You have to kill ghouls on Prajna for a FateBook which drops randomly. You have to mine (or buy) 5x BIO and 1x Plat of a certain purity, so that'll depend on luck if you decide to mine it yourself. You have to collect blood from a GreyEvilApe and it drops at random (took me 21 apes lol).

For the cave itself, you get 8 minutes to clear it out.

8 mins really? I did it on Sunday and I'm pretty sure it had been in for around 13+ minutes, I assumed it was 15 mins. Did as an Archer.

Not sure how a sin with that dc can't do it though cus the sins I meet wreck my damage.

F3 (3F S2) is where I killed the grey evil apes for the quest when I was doing that part

Other classes might get different time limits I guess, can't comment on that. I suppose they could also have changed the time limit since I did it, but certainly when I did it it was always 8 minutes. I timed it to make sure.

Basically the Items you need are

500k Gold cash (100k for info, 400k for making the blade)
5 BIO Purity 11+ (25k a piece from TM)
1 Plat ore purity 10+ (25k a piece from TM)
Fate Book (dropped by Ghouls on Praj Island) - I got mine from 2nd ghoul I killed, but its random
GreyApeBlood (Find Grey Apes on 3rd floor or lower in Red valley) - Took me about 9 apes (this was with superspider bats too!)

The Cave
you need to clear all mobs (I tried killing just the generals - this didn't work)
I was an Assassin (Level 35) my gear was:

Fox Helmet, Medium Armour, Double Blades (Lk+1), 2x Death G, 2x Drag Ring, Black Boots / Lion Belt, AC Stone (M) and Quest Neckie

I tried a few times and I was always just out of time with a few mobs to spare,
I bought 3 Impact drugs from the GS (as advised) potted up and diced the cave with still over a min on my 3rd drug left.

Strategy:
I created 'zones' and worked from zone to zone
Before Fence - Cleared
Go Right and work Round - Cleared
Finish off clearing the mobs around the chest.

Try not to chase Archers for too long, wait for them to close in on you while clearing melee monsters, and then just flash dash them, so they wont run back and kill them.

Has it always been 6mins to clear as a sin? Or have the team changed the time yet again? Because I'm really struggling to clear the room even with near on 50dc as a sin..

People are going on about it being 6mins, it must have changed from when I did it less than a week ago (without being announced) - unless the times are random?

As an impact drug lasts 3 mins, I used 2 and was 2 mins into my third when I finished = 8 mins.

I had 3 impacts and potted one soon as I got teled in, then another straight after the first ran out, then the 3rd straight after that as was teled out just after potting the 3rd.. And still had 1 captin and about 5mobs left. And tried again and again and cannot get near to clearing before tele out :/ given up now wasted all me cash, back to PSC repeatable boring old quest...

Hmm, maybe someone could time it the next time they try? Stopwatch never lies :P
If it has been reduced to 6 minutes that's really harsh. It was already quite a struggle at 8.
