Yeah, I did an electronics course too. I also did my XBOX chip myself(Successfully).

Anyways, if all else fails, GOTO MAPLINS!

been to maplins they fecked me around on the order.
when i first ordered it ,it said in stock then 1 day later i got email saying will post when in stock.
yesterday i got another letter in post saying it not in stock and they dont know when they gonna order .
useless
and i aint buying a new box dont b silly
its only a bit of connection broke .... not that bad LOL
i did worse on a vid player one time , i had the lid off and put it on tele to clean heads and it fell off onto the corner of the board broke the whole corner off, i superglued it back on and got wires and re soldered the connections that broke.. aint that hard, just people recommend flux pens so i thought i give em a go.

go buy a 40 gig+ HDD and mod ur ssytem up (i suggest professional work) and then u can burn games onto ur HDD on ur box, loads faster too, but no mod chips allows u to play live cuz live detects all chips. ;/

u just turn the chip off to play real games, and id say if u were going to do that u would need at least 60 of not an 80gb hdd.

theres plenty of places on the net 2 get them, but surely there are good electronics shops where u live that should stock them as a standard item
