File problem

ok the files i have are from another server when ppl make same char "name" on my server they have there rebirhs also if i delete my char and sumone else make on another account they have everything so how do i stop this

this problem can be fixed by actually writing a sentence that means any sence to me.

first off i would say.. that is potentially very dangerous using database files from another server or using accounts from other servers.. #2.. its not the files.. its the databases that you have used, which correlate to the account, game3g databases.. which houses character information. so even if you delete it in SQL it will still be in game.. what you must do is get a fresh copy of 3.55Working.rar grab the game3G and account databases from it, and do a restore ontop of the current databases you have. this will wipe out all the old character information.


please DO NOT go into your SQL folder and try to delete the .mdf/.ldf files off... as this will cause timestamp issues and just simply crash you server

lol kaori you can delete all db's and remake them but wouldnt that just be using fresh ones?

why do you have someone's dbs? someone gave you? who? I need to give him a kick.
why are you using someone's dbs?

in this case yes, just restore the original empty dbs.

Is there anyway you can just Remove REBIRTH off the chars?

ive tryed restoreing the DBs game£G and Account but still wen i make them chars they still got rebirths :| too tired now going sleep

data on character names is stored in multiple locations throughout the sql database, your easiest option is the go through, make all the character names listed in the game3g/character database then delete them through the normal game screen, this will stop permanently anyone else making a characer or this name.....
