Good afternoon,
I haven't been here in a long time and I don't remember much, but I'd like to pick up where I left off. The website has changed a bit, so I'd like to know where the link or post is now so I can download the Mir3 Holley 3.55 files—even if they're the most outdated ones, I liked that one—and if there are any updated guides or anything.
Thanks

I also wanted to ask—since I’ve been working on this for a while, and now with file updates and everything evolving (though not for this version, since it’s obsolete)—whether there are any studies or feedback from people who’ve set up more servers: is there one virtual machine that’s better than another for installing and configuring the server? Is there a specific version of Windows—like which Service Pack for XP, or Windows 7—that’s recommended? Is there an expert who can help me with these questions?
Thanks

And another question—sorry to bother you—but how up-to-date are the files on that website we all know:

I've tried working with the databases from there, or with the 3.55Working.rar file, but they're a bit broken, right? Some things are missing.
Well, I hope someone can help me.

3.55 files are more than a bit broken. It's a pain in the ass to setup but they work.

You need Windows XP which is also a pain in the ass nowadays. The LS guide has everything you need to set up a server.

That said, I'd recommend you the Zircon files. They are newer, open source, you can run a server with a few clicks, the client work on newer OS and it has high resolution support instead of 800x600.

When you say “LSGuide for the Holley 3.55,” are you referring to the one I found on the mirfiles website?

I like Zircon too, but when I started using it, I found it a bit more complicated than the Holley 3.55. Still, I’ll take your advice, but I’d like to learn more about both and reconfigure them.
Thanks

Importantly, where can I find Mud3 and the client—somewhere that’s reliable, complete, and up-to-date, either on the forum or on Mirfiles?
Thanks

Yes, that LSGuide.

Zircon server is basically an app with a big launch button. In Holley you have several gates that must be configured, cracked, etc. Unless you have a ready to go server these files are not worth looking at.

There's no such thing as a up-to-date client because it's not 2005.

Sting released a clean Mud3. Everything we have is in there.

Sorry to keep asking, but which one exactly? There are so many files and it gets a bit confusing. I'm going to try working with the Mud3 from this 2022 thread—is that the right one?

I still have an old Windows XP machine at my house in Stoke if anyone wants to come get it. It's got a working version of the Sting3G files on it.
