19 xanan, n insurance is a ***** dunno y it was that much for 306 was cheapest i cud find n knew i wudnt be payin the full ammount cos wudnt hav it long. iv never payed the full ammount on any of the insurances cos not had the cars long enuf lol get bored.

n i wasnt on bwt evry1 skyline, but i wudnt advise a corsa or a punto to any1, ye they cheap to buy n insure but u end up paying up more on fixin them every 2 mins. my m8s stuck in finance on a punto n wishes he never bought it, only a year left of it now tho lol

your golf looks tidy skyline, well nice condition
whos is the mx5?

p.s. u can get engine sizes over 1.2 with same insurance groups as under 1.2's lol y not get an rx7, its only a 1.3 engine :P
the MX5 is my mums.

Insurance doesnt just go on insurance group, you know?

And RX7 may only be a 1.3 engine... but its suped up to **** and insurance would still rape you.

Puntos are cheap cars all round, yeah they tend to break alot, but if you look after it, you can stop it from messing up as much. Same as Corsa's, Clio's etc etc.

We're been realistic with our suggestions of a cheap run around car. You are not.

My first caar was a Corsa 1.2 8v Flat as hell lol, died with gearbox faults,

Then I got a Daewoo Lanos LOL all i could afford at the time died with timing belt.

I now drive a Citreon C3 VTR 1.6i 16v Which im engoying at present.

Corsa was £880 a year
Daewoo was £660 A YEAR
Citreon is £500 a year

In my experiance stay away from cars like corsa, fiesta, punto, clio as it just branded boy racer to insurance companies. Some times you will find a slightly bigger engine but more grandad cars are alot cheaper. Just you get lots of qoates lol.

i will try get some pics of my baby uploaded soon :) it needs a clean first! birds crapped all over it and on a white car it shows worse than you would expect. And whoever said about an rx7 with a 1.3 litre engine will be cheap on insurance.... may be wrong :P it's a 1.3 litre rotary engine which is bloody fast and will boost that insurance up.

how old are you? that sounds a little cheap for someone who would just have passed. Insurance companies rape you when you first start driving. Is that for 3rd party or fully comp?

When you just pass your test I advise anyone to buy a cheap 2nd hand car and just have it insured 3rd party for a year or 2, which is, assuming no claims made, when you'll have enough insurance no claims discount to be able to afford full insurance on a new car. TIP make sure the car will be more than 10 years old and the government will give you 2k against a new one, apparently... if they are still doing that then :)

The £2k hand in is for like only 300,000 cars - the first 300,000 sold. Lets be honest that wont last more than a few months. It's just another government initiative to cover their own backs, which in reality won't last more than 6 months.

I guess there will have to be certain conditions attached otherwise everyone will be going and buying 10 yr old cars for £100 and using them to get 2k off their new Car.

You have to be the registered owner of the vehicle for at least a year i've heard.
