Went into Vipers earlier today with 4 maps in my bag and it used all 4 maps.. door is bugged

You need to split the maps up.
It can be changed but then the maps will not stack.
Thinking about it, changing a stacked item to unstuck may cause issues with storge and bugs when the item unstacks and there is no room in storage or bag.

Thanks for teaching me to suck eggs BH but this doesn't really help me. I'm glad you're well aware of the bug but clearly not everybody is.
So instead of telling me what to do in the future to get around this bug, because I guess it's been swiftly filed in your "none important bug" section, how about we talk compension?

Problem is there is no way to prove you had 4 maps before teleporting in, so not sure what BH can do to compensate :/

This and also the fact the nobody else has been compensated
It is not an easy fix as pointed out in the second paragraph of my post and will cause a lot of issues

It's not, the way items like that are coded it treats the stack as 1 item.
It's one of the reasons that there are issues with some quest items.

It's a bug, it's been reported, it's on the list to be fixed, this is a hobby not a business.
What more should you like me to do.
There is no proof that 4 maps where lost, if we go down the business route then there is no proof of sale so therefore what can be done apart from the issue being looked at and fixed in the future.
I understand you may have list some maps but we have bigger things that need sorting

You can come off your high horse because your attitude has been childish in this thread since your second post.
You are playing a private servers, using words like 'business' and 'customer service' can just go straight out the window anyway.

Completely agree you knew about this issue didnt warn anyone so yes it is your faul BH refund the maps and fix you cannot expect people to loose put for errors you knew about and didnt warn anyone, you forget to you they are items to us they are 1hour of our lifes stuck in a cave to loose to a bug you knew about!

Both playing and operating private servers are illegal.

Not once did I say I did not care, I would not be posting at all if I did not care about the server.
My point was and still is that it's a reported bug, it's on the list, it is not as easy a fix as you think it is.
I would be more then happy to replace your lost maps if you can 100% prove that 4 of them where taken.
My first reply explained the error and also explained that a possible fix would cause a number of issues, you then posted about sucking eggs and now we are here
A warning on the NPC is a good idea and I will this later today or tomorrow.

This is the first time ive seen this bug - if it works how i think it works it shouldnt be a difficult fix - ill get it sorted.
In BH's defence on the global scale of things I also dont care about your lost maps. Sorry.
