Flip Break: Made another webgame, looking for testers!

It's been a few weeks, and I'm back with another web game. This time, giving my take on an old retro game genre, remember Breakout? The old brick-breaking game, slightly more addictive than Pong lol.

Well, I thought that would be a good place to start for my next idea. I wanted to see if I could make it more over the top than it should be, whilst keeping it addictive, competitive and free of monetisation, my Discord playerbase calls this 'Andyfication' lol.

Anyway, since my last game was well-received and went on to become a Discord activity, I thought I'd post this one here for those who want to try it!

Mouse control is very twitchy, seems to jolt either left/right (whichever way its going at the time) and isn't as smooth as it should be.

When I died the page seemed to refresh completely and sent me back to the main menu about a second or so after showing my score.

Seems alright from my 5 minutes so far.

i like it, like the other webgame, this reminds me to play some billiard, you have to do fast and calc the angle lol.

found some bugs the ball keeps freezing on a brick like this;


and moveing a lot fast in that brick, probably it is from the other side when you press space.

also, boost are good, but idk why sticky its longer , at least for me it just piss me off to click on the mouse to shot the ball lol

a counter for each boost like, you've received megaball 10 times? ok, level 1, in that case the power up will be more "longer" , obv no 1 minute megaball, but a bit more in each powerup

also leaderboard doesn't update, did 12k points and keep showing 1920

I added an auto updater so it will force refresh when a new build is out, but made sure it didn't kick in until a live game was finished. That was the refresh thing you had i think.


I'm just about to add in keyboard, touch and controller options, will revisit the mouse speed just incase theres an issue too.

Split the game into Arcade Mode and Conquest mode (excuse the stuttering in the video, I need a better screen recorder!)
Profile saving and cross-device compatibility also added.

Issue when the upgrade screen pops up, it doesnt release the mouse cursor to select stuff. Ive got to tab out and back in for my cursor to appear

edit: nvm i can press escape to release the cursor, would still be nice if the game auto unlocked the cursor for you when that menu pops up

All previous reported issues have been resolved, a new conquest game mode has been added, and released on Discord Games.
Optimised for Phones, Tablets and PCs.
