Also, you need to be a TalkTalk customer on the Option 3 package (international calls) which is your typical line rental + £9.99.

So to look at the offer from the typical marketing perspective, would be to say that you get 8mb (max) BB, with included international calls for £9.99 a month - which still is a very competitive offer.

I was about to sign up to TT just before this package, as they offered 2MB for cheaper than my current ISP, even without a bandwidth cap. However since the introduction of this package they've stuck a 40GB 'fair use' limit - which is no good for me .

a lot of the big ISP's have now stuck limits on their packages or specified the limit in their FUP. with broadband getting faster and faster, im getting the feeling the the exchanged cant handle the volume of data thus limits are imposed

The great thing is, they get their profits from all the people (like most of you above) who go "ZOMG CHEEPAR INTERNETTING" then jump ship. Thus handing the carphone warehouse their market share.

Personally im going to stick with my own ISP (Blueyonder) who will no doubt offer to upgrade my line to an even higher speed at no extra cost. Believe it or not, your internet provider doesnt want to lose you and i can garuntee the price war will ensue.

Mobile phones used to be hell expensive. £100+ for a phone with key 1-5 and every extra key costing £10 more (sarcasm btw) then Vodafone launched the idea of customers being able to "top-up" and only pay for the phone when they wanted to use it. The idea never caught on though..... and it certainly didnt bring the prices of mobile phones and related service down.

So far, i only know of AOL to offer FULLY Unlimited package's (i think).

Also, when i saw this TalkTalk on the TV, i was on the site straight away. I then saw that you have to be a customer (as leo said), and its 40 gig usuage limit, so i was straight off the site :P

Blueyonder charge £50 per month. However that gets me 10MB broadband connection with no crappy usage limites. Cable TV and my Phoneline. Every year weve been with them, theyve upgraded the line speed for free.

If ur paying £30 for 2MB broadband, you may as wel throw your money out the window.

The great thing is, Mainland UK (as usual) is subjected to a market that (as usual) is (and i use this temr purely becuase its best term for this) "Raped". Personally i think its becuase of our stupidly designed Infrastructre and retarded practices. Northern Ireland has a plan in place to have BB available to the entire county in a few years.

To put it in perspective, my grandparents who live in a what would be described as a hamlet in Geography (smaller than a village) had Broadband internet available before my old house in a large trading town did. What made it even more astounding was every other street in my area had broadband 3 months before our street did.

Sweden/Norway and most of Scandanavia and some surrounding countries have like 10MB lines as a standard prcedure, anything like 1MB or 2MB is probably in the same legue to them as dial-up is to us.

As usual the UK is 2 years behind and 3 times more expensive than the rest of Europe.
