Hi.

Not sure how to really explain, but it is possible to put a "lock" on some applications from loading at startup so that more RAM is free'd up...? If so, How would I do this please...

Thanks

Start>Run>msconfig>startup tab disable the stuff you don't want there.

Hi.

Thank you. When you are in the startup box, and if I were to Untick all the boxes, would my Desktop load up with just the desktop and nothing else...? Because in the startup box it says there are some programs that are common startup. Can I untick them...? along with the others?

Kind Regards.

Just want to maximise my usage of RAM for hosting purposes... I do not want stupid applications running in the background, using unessary RAM.

Kind regards.
