Hey Guys,

I'm sure you all remember the joys of FrOzEn. We do anyway! So we've decided to reopen it once again.

Our plans are basically to freshen the server up, and give it a more up to date look and feel. To do this we have added a range of things from the latest weapons, amours & mobs to our new interface and & Customized maps. Screenshots below.

We are hoping to get the server online by Tomorrow if everything runs smoothly for everyone involved. Wednesday at the latest.

Start Level: 7

Items:- We have added a large amount of new items, including all of the original items that you remember. Obviously we will be adding more items as people progress through the server.

Caves: And again with caves, we have all the original caves plus a few new ones. Again, more will be added as people progress though the server.

Looks good but would like to know some information of the cheat protection system you surely have?

I don't think many people actually have cheat clients for 1.4 anymore, which is a good thing. Our biggest concern was NPC hacking but there are ways around that. We're using the game gate which blocks the Ledu cheat client. Other than that there isn't a great deal we can do other than ban them on the spot. Our GM's are sure to be active so any report of cheating is going to be dealt with quickly.

Good to hear. Just wanted people to know as it was going to get asked sooner or later as it seems to be the first question that springs to mind like it did with me. Only thing really with the NPC is to change most or all of them so you cant skip the checks as people wont know what part its calling.

Will the client be uploaded in advance for people to download or simply just given when servers up and running?

I know how fast leveling is on AF files but for people that may not be as old as us, perhaps clear it up and compare the exp rate to something. More medium if I remember correctly but couldnt put a times rate on it myself.

I Thought everyone would have remembered this one!, lol.

The exp is quite fast, you can expect to get to level 42 within a day or two of leveling. The item stats are high, expect some interesting fights.

Normally if you add a check in just before an item is handed out or a teleport is given, that will block npc hack also.

We're still gathering some mon files together at the minute and a few weapons need replacing in our wil files, as soon as we've got those things sorted out a client will be uploaded yes.

Yeah I'm the same with the exp, I cant put an exact rate on it but I can remember hitting roughly 40 - 42 within a day or two. Its probably medium at now a days standards yeah but when it comes to 1.4 servers, personally I would say its quite high.

and spells r mixed class... like wiz have thrust and wars have shield etc

lol cheers 4 that wond, i never played frozen 1.4 i was on p69 at the time n spent 2 many years on 1 server so its only been this past year ive tryed new1s leadin me completely away from p69

anyways ill deffo be playin as i do miss the skill in fightin instead of ppl holdin shift n usin there crappy auto run hope 2 be playin soon

Excited to bring back the old times. Lets just hope it has a half decent user count so SW will be very fun
New maps and items in the server will just top it off nicely. Might be an idea with stopping wizards entering some of the maps due to mass kill :P
Just may help a little with leveling balance.

na wiz defo had thrust.... otherwise wiz were just totaly useless in fights... seein as all class's had FW, and icestorm/bolt didnt do fk all dmg through a shield.

im pretty sure he later added poison for all class's... i remember i used 2 kill OwNaGeOnE while on a wiz, had it psned and thrustin thro fence..

missed rev aswell


edit: on weown .. these spells were for all class's

FW/psn/thrust/shield/rev/fs

war adv. = base dc
wiz adv. = spells like bolt/ice storm.. and pro gave better defense
tao adv. = pets / pro gave better defense / base dc (more than wiz less than war)

so even tho the spells were multi classed.. each still had its strength... and lets face it, weown had the best fights.

cant wait tell this comes up ( hope its delayed :P going RAF Course for 3Days so wont be back untill thursday night. )

should bring sum interesting memories back and i love the UI ect probs best time of the year for this to come out :P cant wait to feel that smoothness of runing on a 1.4 server again.

Have not played 1.4 in agessssssss, may give it a go, problem is the 255 stat cap tho, aslong as its high but wont be reached then thats good
