Would there be any hints or tips on downloading torrent files more faster/quicker? for example opening any tcp or udp ports, etc...?

well seen as no1 else wants to say it,
then i will say what everyone else is thinking
if you want a game that bad, then just go buy it, games arent THAT expensive, i can understand downloading proggys liek flash and macromedia stuff and photoshop as they're worth proper money, but most games are £40 MAX.
im just saying what everyone is thinking, if your gna make an idiotic thread, your gna get idiotic replies.

Its not an idiotic thread at all. Some people havent gone the money to be throwing away on games, especially when they are so easily downloaded these days.

Splinter here is a thread with a quite substantial list of torrent sites( Some may be broken)http://www.lomcn.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=30629 and afaik with torrents there is not an awful lot you can do to speed it up your side its about how many seeds there are. althought i have noticed a difference in torrent clients i used to use bitlord/bitcomet before but i downloaded morpheus which now supports torrents and i think its much better.

I don't get pocket money, I don't have a job, I just save money I get for special occasions, put it in the bank and it builds up over time. £25 isn't really too much for a game.

What bittorent supports resuming? For example if I were to restart my PC? Or if I wereto shut down and start again some other day...?

All torrents resume thats the good side of it.
As for macking them faster try limiting upload speeds as on adsl your download will be greatly hit.
Also look for torrents with a higher seeder count than leechers e.g 36 seeders 24 leachers.

altho if you want a quick method you could try using newsgroups if your ISP supports them further more you could sign upto this website as it has a great community and has everything you will ever need warez wize
