Ever since I got my laptop when I play mir in fullscreen (any mir server / client) I get a small square (the client) with black borders either side. It's something to do with the resolution. Is there anyway to fix this and stop it happening?

Regards

I think it is something to do with your graphics card... I am sure there is an option (or atleast there is on mine) to scale the image to screen size.

What graphics card do you have?

Exactly this there should be an option in there to scale full screen.

1. Go into your Resolution options. ( You'll want to know what res is native to your game )

2. When you have changed the res to what you need, Click advanced settings.

3. The top tab should say something like "Intel(R) Graphics and Media control panel", Click it.

4. Go to the scaling drop tab and select "Scale Full Screen" and Apply it.

5. Go back to your Resolution options and set the screen back to your preferred Resolution Settings ( mine Is 1920x1080 )

6. Test your game to see if it worked

For intel.

Thanks i'll try this later - I've just got my shinsu near leveled. I'm using a NVIDIA GeForce 840M if you still wanted to know @Samuel.

Edit: Oh I fixed it without a restart through HD Intel Graphics or some similar app. Screen looks stretched now but it works fine. Thanks!

Edit: Lies it didnt fix, all of my buttons are out of place and when I open a new client it reverts back to the same - i'll play around tomorrow.

Edit: Somehow definitely fixed it now :P

if you fixed it through that. You may want to look into what GPU the laptop is actually using to run mir. Sounds like your using the icore built in gpu. Would possibly get a nice performance boost.

How can you change it? I have an AMD RADEON card but I'm not sure it's powering mir?

Not sure tbh. Never had that problem.

it should be some setting in the gpu program ie. Catalyst control centre or Nvidia control panel.

Most at people suggest an option that says power save or performance. Always pick performance. I'm sure there would be other options to do this also. Maybe find a way to disable to CPUs gpu.
