so far me and my friend have been waiting for RME for a stupid quest, been in since 10pm gmt - itsn ow 1140pm. still no sign of him, decent 2 hours wasted I am going to guess, but this is why rough spawn times would be nice, so people dontwait for hours when they could be doing ... something? hah

The whole point of team collaboration and tactics in timing the spawn of a boss and knowing the spawn time's. If everyone knew every boss spawn time then every guild would run to that boss at that same time. Grinding and keeping the time's a secret introduces that tactical gameplay. Fair enough if you want all out war and pvp then find out the time and tell your enemy guild.

Not sure you understand what happens on this server.

It takes 2 times. so for example:

120,30

The first number is the minimum number of minutes you have to wait for the boss to respawn. It can then spawn within the second numbers amount of minutes after that. Could be instantly, could be at the very end.

The point I think he's trying to make and I agree with it, is that there is actually zero tactical gameplay involved. You have to sit around waiting these extra minutes for the boss to spawn.

What's the point? Why make us waste time? If everyone knew the generic respawn timers, then people could make appropriate effort to get there at said time, introducing more fights over the boss, aka, the fun part of Mir and instead of wasting 30-60mins of our time standing around waiting, we could be doing other things.

Oh i didn't realise it worked like that on here, no wonder why there is no boss on the spawn time when I turn up at the right time. I agree what a dumb feature.

Welp, after all of that, I was under potted, annnd couldn't tell what damage I was doing to it, lack of taoists and friends on this server up at this time ftw!

so it sucks I can't do my quests, or quest for better gear, nor can I hunt bosses for better gear, so there isnt a point in leveling... sigh! off to bed.

I agree this is not cool. Once while I was playing Pokemon I was looking for the legendary Pokeom Latios and it would never appear even though the Pokedex said it was in that area. I sent an email to Nintendo saying why can't you just tell me exactly where it is so I can stop wasting my precious time when I could have been doing something.

Lol I agree. It's pretty awful how they've added a RNG aspect to when a boss spawns. It's not like this game is almost entirely RNG already anyway. Boss drops certainly aren't and thank god too, wouldn't want to waste our time killing bosses that hardly ever drop rares.

I like thst boss spawn is random.
It gives casual players a chance at finding them alive with no1 showing up just in time to ruin the chance.

People need to appteciate that not only 5-10 hour a day peopleplay this game and all content needs be playable for both groups or at the very least most of it

If the boss spawns were predictable to 5mins as most servers what happens then is that the peoplewho have been playing for 10 years ormore and know everything there is to know will be at every boss you ever go to and pk you on sight.(mostly but not all. Some will group you and pk if anything good drops)
The quests aren't compulsory. The mainline ones get you items but the rest are optional. As long as you don't discard it you can go back and do the others one day when yr bored.
Or do a hunt in redmoon valley get lots apes get crystal spiders. Go to kr. If rme not there go back out clear 5f no need to stand about doin nothing.

I think its great that its pretty random, gives everyone a chance especially the small or peaceful guilds / groups who don't play a competitive game having to fight fights they are never going to win against geeks who spend £££'s on hardware for a 10 year old game.

It serves to everyones benefit.

Could do something like in Mir 3 where some bosses were random (within a degree) and others you spawned by killing a certain number of mobs in the caves.

Can't remember exact figures off the top of my head, but it was something like 75,000 points to open ZT KR as an example. Each mob was worth points, as the difficulty of the mob increased so did the points value. Certain points milestones triggered huge spawns outside the KR door. An unlock caused a global announce in all floors of that dungeon.

Could open up opportunities for fights for the bosses as well as for some random person hunting in the small hours to trigger it.

I was thinking of a system like that, didn't realise Mir 3 had it though.

It's always annoyed me how we could grind a place for hours just for the people with the stopwatch to RT in, kill the boss as it spawns & go back to town.... I mean, surely my investment in time/effort to hunt the place properly should warrant me a pop at the boss.

Obviously a hunter gets lucky on occasion, but it is irritating when you've been somewhere for hours just for a couple of people to RT in, take it, and go do the same to half a dozen other caves while you're left with nothing.

You're right, but a vocal group on this forum will vehemently disagree with you. The same group that talks about putting in the effort for drops on the one hand but expects bosses to be there for them like clockwork on the other.
