hit reg and movement are off aswell as multiple other game mechanics like flinch and stun lock which it just cant emulate, files are good if you haven't played mir for years and love pvp

How should hit reg/flinch/stun work? if someone could give me a detailed breakdown... As i see this all the time but no1 can explain it. And i personally dont notice it.

Whaddayamean!?!?!?!?!? WoooL looks and feels so much better than mir, the images are so much higher res and animations framerates so much better. It's because of WoooL I cant bare to work on standard mir2 anymore lol
100% woool should be worked on and forget mir2 its overrrat3d after 20 years

For me as to why crystal sucks

Maps are -2 pixels out from center, has been since 2015 and its disgusting, means nothing centered and probably a good reason why it never felt like Mir2.

the movement is wrong also, poorly coded and not as snappy , pvp movement and shift control also wrong

oh and the fact it was quite literally a piece of **** Jamie dropped / gave up on , even he didn't like it and the dude hasn't got a clue how pvp works
I've been saying this for ages it's one of the things that put me off working on crystal files the movment feels terrible in pvp and i don't quite know why. The last time movement felt good to me was on chronicles. I was trying to explain it to AI to see if it could fix it but when you dont know the technical terms and reasons for why it feels so bad it's impossible to fix. Does anybody actually know why its so bad in comparrison? is it something to do with how the frames are handled or something else?

another thing is

diagonal movement, and it's common sense....

delp has a UNITX and Y for diagonal movement (a slight Increase in speed, as diagonal across map is longer than vertical or horizontal)

No **** right?

that didn't make it into Crystal, not sure why, it's common practice in isometrics to cater for the longer distance.

that one fix and aligning the maps properly would make a huge improvement , and then it's just fixing PVP

What was the last server running 2.3 files?

I remember playing Mir Revenge on Windows XP and the movement was so smooth, no map jolting making my eyes hurt either.

Then I remember going to "updated" servers a few years later that won't run on XP and thinking it felt like something was seriously off because of how poorly it ran and looked.

What makes Crystal files crap?
just things i remember:
- movement is a bit broken: all the attempts at making it 'non cheat' have caused alot of displacement and skills like shoulderdash, backstep, ... completely breaking when actually playing in fights/big lures.
- network traffic has a bug: for me it's verry bad, some have it ok others it's also unplayable. simply put there's ALOT of semi random disconnects even tho your own internet + servers internet are fine. < likely result of someone messing with timings since this is only the case of public sources past couple of years, servers like elite who also use (old) crystal dont have this bug.
- player 'actions' arent really being processed correctly. this one is another hard one but: when you press a key (like casting a skill) < that's added to an actionqueue rather then direct action + the mouse location on screen isnt linked directly. this can lead to casting in semi random areas if you're moving your mouse, or pressing a key just as you get dashed and the skill casts after the dash animation finishes (but then you're already trying to do something else and cant) < also happens with getting para'd etc at times.
- locations of moving objects on screen never really match with objects on server < your own movement is being drawn faster then other ppl's movement. simple example: if you're standing still and someone comes running up to you to pk you> he'll likely swing / hit you before your client finishes drawing the move.
