games like cod4

i recently got call of duty 4, and have just completed the missions. i probably think thats the best fps game iv played yet.

graphics - 10
gameplay - 8 (cld have bin more missions)
replayability - 7

i love games were you can sniper and chose the part you want to it (as opposed to just chucking bullets at the enemy)

anyone recommend a game similar to this? with graphics and gameplay as good?

i looked at frontlines fuel of war, but the graphics look abit poor, and seems like just a non strategy game.

ps. i like modern shooters, not too keen on world war ones, killing germans got old years ago.

pss. and i also like being in teams with ai. and not on my own.

Counter Strike Source

Basicly you have 2 teams, Counter Terrorists and Terrorists. You join either team, On some maps you have to save or defend hostages from being saved, Other maps you have to plant or defuse the bomb, You can play servers that you build up xp and levels on with super hero mods and warcraft features to that make the game more fun.

Im sure you may have played it though most people have.

CSS can be played as a single player.

SOF2 can also be played as single player, fairly similar to CSS.

If you liked the missions "Ghillies in the mist" and "one shot one kill" on CoD4 (yes, i'm sad enough to know the names) you'll probably like the game my dad plays a lot, it's called Sniper Elite, look it up, never played it myself but he's on it so much and it looks awesome. Offline ofc.

was 'one shot one kill' the one where they went bak to the nuclear disaster thing? i liked that one alot, prob my fav, but the last bit was just so hard lol.

will give it a download. i also love the splinter cell games, but they take so much precision and patience that i just get annoyed with them.


also anyone played rainbow six vegas 2? iv got the first, and i love it till it got into the casino levels where it just become your average terrorist/hostage game like all the other rainbow sixes.

sniper elite as an ace game, basically you are a sniper going around killing germans. The graphics are probs a 7/10 but the game is just so fun.

You get different snipers and when you make head shots / long shots it counts up how far you have shot etc. My record is just over 200m and a triple shot (killing 3 people in 1 bullet all 3 through the head).

Graphics 7/10
Gameplay 10/10
Replayability 5/10

"one shot one kill" was where you use the mounted sniper rifle to shoot al asad. Mission failed if you missed.

if you think the graphics on this are 10/10 then you need to play crysis, i'd rate that 20/10 in comparison lol

Cod 4's a nice game though, i had some trouble completeing it in the hardest difficulty because i'm a noob >.<

i had crysis, till the cd image ****ed up on me. i dunno if its all on that island, but the game just reminds me too much of farcry.

but yeah you're right, the crysis graphics are amazing, my computer had difficulty playing it on high spec.

haha. yeah unfortunately im not that skilled :P i went through the whole of cod4 on the second easiest (going by what i got in the time trial)
