i personally feels that Prince of Qin is the closes to Mir. It was released 22 years ago.
Even some of the monster's sound are so similar to Mir2's

A lot of the old isometric MMOs were brutal and like mir in many ways. Lineage 1, Ultima, Astonia.

Darkfall Online was a full loot PvP mmo based on asheron call, Ultima online etc, Released in 2009. The company was in Greece and went under when the financial crisis hit. The ip was bought by fans in 2015 and the game re-released in 2016, But they just didn't have the funds to keep things afloat Its now getting reworked and updated to be released on steam under Rise of Agon. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2077110/Rise_of_Agon/

I've tried almost every MMO and Darkfall/Rise of agon and legend of mir just hit Different.

THe downside was *upside to actual gamers* its more skilled based pvp not gear based. Still alot of mobs to kill for mats for crafting armor, weapons, buildings, citys, boat and so on.

Linage 2 was one of my go too's after Mir back in the day, open world pvp, grind fest etc.
