If Mir had a level cap it wouldn't last very long, coz once you hit the level cap it's pretty much game over. The fact that ppl continue to play Mir is because you can always become stronger than others by out leveling them. It's the endless leveling competition that kept ppl playing, especially those hardcore players. They will always be 10-20 levels above average players, they will spend more, play longer hours, better kitted and no average player will ever catch or be able to compete with them. It's a mirror of the world we live in, the analogy will be why do Bill Gates earn $3000 every minute when average ppl earn $3000 a month? Go figure

Reason people don't want to end up with 100 level gap, nobody wants another bill gates in their fuc...g game as well. He

Looks like the levelling gap problem is going to be sorted with the new patch.

Best possible way to have it sorted aswell imo, thumbs up to Jamie 👍🏻

This is what is missed on a lot of servers in my opinion, the game is finely balanced at the lower end of the scale lvls 50 and below and those levels are made too easy to get through!

Hi all I had the following to suggestions regarding the lvling gap I attempted to create a thread but don’t think it worked I’ll paste it here for all to read over

Hi all.

I have been thinking of suggestions for the server in order to encourage group hunting. I came up with 2 ideas that I think would be really beneficial to the server.
The first one being a levelling cave whereby the is no teleporting allowed and the pathways are blocked by barricades that you need to destroy as a full group in order to pass through.
How you ask ? well I will explain.
You can use the barricades that used to be at wars and change the Hit box to be that off a chestnut tree then you need to give it HP Regen. You can quite easily figure out damage rate of a full group of Players + the regen rate in order to make it so you NEED to have a full group of players in order to pass through the barricades.
The idea is you have barricades like this throughout the cave and the exp would be good in a full group. This would completely stop people being able to solo there as they would not be able to pass through large sections of the map and only make it viable for a full group.
This was simply just a suggestion but think it would be good idea with a few tweaks please comment on thoughts etc.

THE SECOND IDEA J
My second idea was regarding putting something in place to force high lvl players to lvl in groups.
As we are all aware in Mir you are going to get some players that just LVL LVL LVL and leave other players behind and creating a massive levelling gap. If not addressed this levelling gap can essentially ruin servers as lower lvling players feel they will never catch up and struggle to hunt bosses etc.
The current system in place to stop people spiralling to high above everyone else is by putting a soft cap in so it takes an extremely long time to level. My idea however is rather than put in a soft cap is instead target them on something else for example when they hit level 75 they need to do X amount of EXP (A HUGE AMOUNT) as a group (Possibly 10+) this would not only give the high levels a way of levelling but it would help close the gap of lower players. The system would work the same for everyone so once those lower players hit 75 they too would then need to do a certain amount of EXP (In a large group) in order to progress to the next level.
Another option if it would be too difficult to make group experience a thing would be.
To add a similar system as mastering a player from global but make it a requirement in example at level 75 you need to get 5 players from level 60-70 before you can unlock you’re next level.
The is one slight floor with the system and that’s the low amount of new players once a server is live so once you’ve got 100+ people at level 75 it would be difficult for those players to then level people from 60-70 or do x amount of Group exp.
HOWEVER you could solve this by putting time scales on it for example if you hit lvl 75 within the first 3-6 Months of server going live you need to 100 Mill exp in a Group. Then if you get 75 within the first 7-10 months you need to do 70 Mill EXP (THESE ARE JUST EXAMPLES).

Guys I thought I’d put forward these suggestions to see everyone’s thoughts on how we can make group hunting more of a thing this is an amazing server and want to keep suggestions being put forward on how it can improve so if anyone else has suggestions post them below J I’d be interested to see them.

Not needed. Hence why you needed to Necro a dead thread and create a new one.

There is nothing to moan about at present.

The leveling curve is well balanced. There is a decent amount of content. They are working on new content for release within weeks.

Mir has always been a game where you get out, what you put in. Level for 16+hrs a day you deserve to pull away from someone who puts 3 hrs in a day. I don't see why anyone feels that this should be changed.

Those at the 75 soft cap are the only ones who might feel a little different. But the reality is that they will be the first ones to be able to fully experience the newest content and get access to the newest items/gear.

The issues not the number of hours someone can play. It’s the fact that at level 65 you can gain more % per hour than someone level 40. Which shouldn’t be the case

I can do a level every 2-3 hours at 55 I can’t remember it being much quicker at 40 which is wrong
