Solved gate problems working external IP

Hey, i've looked everywhere ive followed all the guide's for the External IP usage
I think i've portfowarded my ports correctly ( I'm not 100% Sure though i would need some1 to check on Teamviewer )
I've changed the 4Required IP's to my External, my friend can connect and get to login gate(server name/gate) but nothing happens after he clicks it, as for me I open client and get connection closed straight away
Ive been on this same problem for 3days & Neo16UK is my witness as hes as confused with this as i am.
If you could help me, I / WE would be very F$#KING pleased lol

Are you behind a router?
Forwarded ports?
Router allow loopback?

right im not sure what i did i was just talking to neo16 about scrips then had this idea of opening mir files up checking mirclient (empty) then right clicking serverfiles and clickin update whch gave me new mir.exe etc put them in my mir folder & upped the server then it worked, but ive got a simple problem now...
Neo16UK can fully log into server, when i load up my .exe i get to char screen > make new char > then it dont show any char coming up do you know how to fix it?
/ yh im behind a router ive port fowarded TCP 7000/7100/7200 and also UDP 7000/7100/7200
