Gem/orb/refine question yes i know there are other threads but...

The question is..

1.If you gem/orb a weapon i guess you can refine after. This being the case does the 1st refine on a gemmed +3 weapon count as if it was a clean weapon or have the same success rate % etc as if refined to +3 and trying for +4.

2.Can you gem/orb on a weapon thats been refined so if you refine a weapon to +4 which is over the +3 gem cap then apply a /gem/orb does it have a chance of success.

I have to ask these things as 1st time ive played with stat caps inplace etc.

Any one that does reply please do so if you have done or tried etc on this sever not others as i know the answer for other servers but not here where things have been chopped about and please stay on subject.

other wise please can a Games Master reply so its something we can keep note of.

The first one im not sure about never really tried refining after gemming but I would assume it counts as +3.
As for your second question its a no. You cant gem or orb after refining +3 or more of the same stat.

To answer both.
Yes you can gem a weapon first to +3 and then refine it and it will count as the first refine.(+1 rates)
And no, the way gems/orbs work is they look at an items current stat, no matter how it was added, so if something dropped with +2 and you gemmed it, it would see it as a third gem with the +3 rate. Same with any other way it was added. So if you refined something to +3, the gem/orb would see its already at +3 and not work.
