Geting server online (Help)

Hi all iv been haveing some probs with my files to now find out its my router (I think)

Here's what happend....

Iv just installed Fresh server files on my Server pc & they are now working & running on 127.0.0.1 (offline) But when i went to put them online i went to www.whatsmyip.org & got my ip 84.9.200.70 i added this to my files in the right places & i get error's Window's socket... in every gate.

So i thort id try ipconfig to get my ip & got this

Ip address... 192.168.1.64
Subnet mask... 255.255.255.0
Gateway address... 192.168.1.***

So i made all my ips 192.168.1.64 & ther server runs but on leo's port check they are all closed is that ip only Local?

I then went on my Home pc & when i type ipconfig i get this as my ip... 84.9.200.70, if you understan any of this plz help! Why wont my server pc run off 84.9.200.70?????

Try unblocking some ports Christie.

your using speedtouch router i take it, i had this problem, you got to asign the main server computer as the main ip... err what i mean is..

goto http://speedtouch.lan/

goto Ethernet:

click your errr computer thingy ie; MentaL-Workstation

click Assign the public IP address of a connection to a device


and then open the ports on that ip.
