With the policing of threads its beyond a joke every other server iv played you could post what ever you wanted and nothing would happen this continues ill tell you something now people will just leave and you'll have no threads to delete and edit 24/7 stop doing get off your high horse and play the damn game and stop moding stuff really annoying me and others

Banter is one thing but when a thread starts to go way off topic because you want to swing your epenis around then it will get modded

There is a guild section for banter, use that or maybe just keep it ingame alot of players do not give a **** about all your guild rubbish and just want to play the game and peace with no drama
I get PMs about it daily asking me to clean up threads and if an OP requests for a thread to be cleaned it gets cleaned.
I also get messages on facebook from players saying the do not use the forum because threads just turn into flame wars

Unfortunately I agree with this unseen to a degree.
The forum "banter" and personal attacks have always been part of a game like Mir. The community is so small everyone knows who's talking about who when these things start to hit the forum.

I think the mods should consider that people have a choice if they want to read certain threads or posts. If they find someone to be offensive or frustrating they can block that forum user to never see those posts again.
I have noticed a decline in threads recently. That could be due to the great work being done that there is less to complain about, alternatively it could be that people just do not feel they can express themselves however they see fit.

I find the forums a vital part of games for people that do not have access to the game during the day for whatever reason, it keeps interest high and keeps you up to date with what drama has gone on.

If this was a vote, I would vote for the mods to tone it down a little.not completely but a little.

On the flip side of that I get a lot of messages asking me to clean threads and messages on facebook moaning about all the flames on the forum
A lot of players now PM me on facebook as they do not want to post on the forums due to the risk of getting flamed

This is something that needs to be fixed from both sides , stop with the flames and abuse in standard threads, what has a thread about a new player joining the server got to do with wars between players and guilds
Keep the banter and stories in the guild section and keep it clean, banter is banter but there is a line

I barely even come on these forums anymore but i noticed this and personally think the whole thing is a bit of a joke.

If players want to flame each other go right ahead.. who are they hurting? Who actually cares what another person says about them on a forum over a game?.. The people who do are the problem and personally need to get a grip and stop being little b*tches.. simple.

Just play the game and get on with it, abuse is a part of mir.. always has been, with the exception of the idiots who act like 5 year olds but they just get ignored. Its never gonna change much the same as someone crying " cheater " isn't, people are so touchy these days..

Why would i want to come on here for a serious read, i've been coming on here for years due to the banter/trolls/laughs..Now everything just gets deleted, locked and renamed because the gm's ( babyhack as previously stating in his post above) can't take from a couple of players throwing abuse at him and obviously the other couple of nazi's like tai ect closing threads then continuing to post on them after locking them?

Its power mad.

Lets be real here and say 70% of people just use these forums for a laugh/burn a little bit of time, if i wanted a intellectual read i would go spend a couple of hours on wiki or something.

I never said I can not take it, my point was I should not have to take it, nobody should have to sit on a forum and read abuse directed at them, yes banter is fine but abuse is uncalled for

Even heated debates about which guild has the bigger epeen doesn't bother me. Personal attacks and insults though are just unacceptable. You wouldnt walk up to someone in a street and say some of the things that get said on here - so why do you think it is OK to do it on here?

Again, the anonymity of the net has a lot to answer for here. You can come on the net, and troll and flame, and feel big an powerful and like people actually listen to you. A lot of peoples first 'road' into a game is to visit the forums. See what happening, what the activity levels are like, how mature the playerbase is, amongst other things. To put it bluntly (no offense meant here BH), but with the level of trolling flaming going on lately - these forums just make the game look very unattractive.

Thats my 12 cents - and it comes form someone who puts up with a lot of 'crap' form people hiding behind keyboards, acting the big man.
