Been looking round and thought I would summarise the plus points for you campaign to get people back.
I reckon you should emphasise,
Active responsive server team who have
banned more cheats than any other p server(BH said)
completely changed the drop files
constant patying attention to game and players and making adjustments after careful thought which has made them
change the exp needed to level for under 33, 35, 38 whatever you decide
added gemming and refining to server
any returner gifts/ boosts you plan.
and include whatever else is new on the server when you start your campaign. How you gonna do that when you didnt grab an email addy from ppl at the start I dont know.(you werent thinking marketing were you) FB probs and yr website.
Good Luck

Anyone who can think of anything else positive to say please post. Everyone else moan somewhere else

We have everyone email address.
It is needed to create new accounts and also for resetting passwords

It is even pulled into a newsletter table in the database

We have plans to use this to send out a newsletter the all the emails we have.
The newsletter will contain details like what has been listed above and a few other bits and bobs about the server and the game

We hardly breaking 200 peak now days =[ Alot of people have quit and are still leaving. I feel refinement system has 'broken' alot of people, and thus moral is low lol. People are tired in general and are about to give up.

Server team is doing a great job though, we will hopefully get numbers back up. I am very excited to see the upcoming updates in the next few weeks.

As a new player, the biggest positive I've had so far is the community. Its fan-fcuking-tastic. The dungeons are great, the leveling speed (as a tao) is a bit slow, but it feels great. I've convinced a few friends to come try it out too. Hopefully get back over the 200 user count alot more often!

So user count is up most evenings, we hit 254 on Monday evening

Just want to echo what Ali3n put. Community is absolutely incredible - this is the only game you can play where you run past someone in a dungeon and hear "lo" and then ten minutes later make an addition to your friends list. And it's the forums that achieve this so for those who are making meaningless posts please cut it out!

This entirely. I was gobsmacked as I ran past people yesterday, every single one "hi", "lo" or something along those lines. Makes such a difference.

Also where you'll get randomly PKed while running through a dungeon as there are virtually no consequences to PKing.

Also where you'll get PKed for a boss you brought down to 5% solo.

Just saying, the community isn't all roses and unicorn farts [see TKO's well-deserved rep].

Lance, there is a huge difference between hunting and boss hunting.

If you go round normally, you get a lot of friendly people and greetings (HI Ali3n - Orianna here using my mates forum account :))
Also you will get Pked by people if you flame them on forums - ingame or in a guild with a bad rep, its part of the fun!!

In bosses you expect to be pvping, as it would be boring hunting bosses without others trying to contest it.

On a bring back note
Some of the highlights should be:

Active Banning of Cheaters
High Player Base (For a mir server it is)
Refining and Gemming
Upgraded drops (mention dswords/serpies/30 weps are getting easy to snag now) as this will get people back as they have better gear to hunt in
Keep the tease of 2.0! :P

In all honesty, BabyHacks work and response alone has kept me going (not to mention Sams too) but babyhack seems to be the face of the server at present :)

Appreciate all the fuss, but don't worry I'm back from Thailand next week <3

Side note - just watched a pingpong show, mind = blown.

Yes I agree Sam and BH are stepping it up a gear and doing a good job. But I have to disagree with your opinion on the community. The Mir community is the most Toxic bunch of volatile aggressive egotistical whinge bags I've ever come across(Not everyone but there are many)

I think most important at the moment is the pre 35 exp increase, I'll be playing again as soon as it is in

Honestly don't see why people want pre 35 exp, it takes 2 weeks casual playing and if they can't hack that then they'll never want to level more after it so what's the point.

It's a huge benefit for people returning as they have the option to reroll, I have recently returned and am really enjoying myself in my new guild, got invited to a hunt straight away even tho I felt likely to die but they helped me get to KR :)

Aslong as I have a guild I don't feel like leveling my warrior is a drag, even tho it really is compared to other classes.

Smoke n mirrors of course
People like to think they getting something. They also like things easy.
it wont really make that much difference and it will be good to see more 40+ people around. Making guilds joining guilds. More people more fun

And like above said they can re roll. Even though they could a done this anyway because it takes so little time to level as it is.

Don't generalize. I had very little fun on my Tao pre-31 simply because of my very reduced utility in groups. You should know how much fun healing someone who's trapped between 5 mobs is. Sure, you can bag lock, but that gets tedious when lures die in 15 seconds or if you want to also poison/hide/buff.

I'll have even more fun at 35 when I have an arguably more useful pet, MH level 2 and UE + a new armor.

Either your hunt buddys were taking on more than they could handle or there was an unexpected rs. Your poison helped them kill faster, your other buffs helped them take less damage use fewer pots. They insist on going places to die, not potting and blaming the tao just means they dunno how to hunt efficiently. I wouldbt take a tao without mass heal to a place where I was gonna need it. Not with this targeting system.
