Well I have a mate who's not really been involved in mir but is a competent programmer and knows delphi, and I've used it in the past for quick projects (otherwise it's C++) so we're going to go with open source.

Work in a 256 palette and you got very little problemos, just click on web colors in the rgb color selection, think it reduces it to 216 or so, but still enough to be sure of how the interface will look put into mir.

Which would make the entire purpose of it slightly wasted, i mean come on, we've seen new sprites put into mir, that look utterly stupid on the maps, beside npcs, attacking etc.

not rly because it would only be the GUI that looked lush, who cares about the people n'that... that all looks fine. GUI has mir all over it though.

It'll stick out from the game, medieval uis tend to be alot of greys and blacks anyway, can do that within a 256 palette with ease.

Sadly i cant do ui's unless it for some wingwong ro style game which is nice clean n stuffs.
