Graphcs Card Help Please

ok well, i brought a new GFX card, and put it in etc. ( my pc hasnt got one already, it has one already built in the mother board, so my new card isnt working.. how do i make the new one my defult one?? its a nVidia GeForce4 FX5200 128mb Thanks

It;s a gefore fx series, not the 4 series. And seriously, if I wer eyou, I would return that peice of **** pronto no joke unless u got bargain basement 15 uk dollars.

You need to go into the bios and change the display to AGP and not onboard.

ermm couldnt give us any help could ya? lol did enable it in BIOS n.. well nothing.. lol tried pluggin monitor into it. didnt wowrk lol

It should automatically replace your old card thats what happened to mine.

i aint taking out one and replace. im adding one to system never had one before. it had a onboard one as they say.. Thanks for your help.

If you put it in and change it in the bios it should work unless the card is screwed up.

hmm ok disabld onboard.. but the gfx card aint working.. now i cant get the monitor working.. lol i know it boots up. cos can hear it sign in MSN.. well done :S lol anyway to reset the BIOS externally? anything i can pull out put bk in? take out boot up? or nething? Thanks

what motherboard do you got.

Did I ever tell you I met the olsen girls, about 3 years ago, skinny pale fricks too.

well it just wont work..

#1 i need to disable on board. and get the GFX working..
#2 when i disabled the onboard GFX the other GFX didnt work. so i ghad to reset my BIO!

ermm i just reset it to normal settings.. but changed GFX card to APG.. cant find onboard section or nothing :S, is there away to update my BIO is to something that has more features?

Anyway try taking ur hard-drive and ur wires to a computer shop, and ask them to fix . thats what i would do :O
