Ok well i brought a Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 3450 512MB DDR2 PCI-E today, only to find when i got home my current PC is only a PCI-E 1x -.- are there any decent graphics cards with about the same power as the 8600GT/or the Radeon 3450 and near the same price (+£40 if needs be (so around £130))that fit a x1 slot? or will i have to either buy a x16 motherboard or buy a PCI-E extender?

screw it :P decided to buy a new laptop (well my dad did for me) so i got this

http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Xtreme_770-T7500_Laptop_X770-T7500/version.asp

going to use it for "college" aswel lol thats what i said anyway.
so i decided screw it and got the 4gb one instead of the 2gb one, got it for £999.95 aswel instead of £1369.97 as dad said it was for his company :p
-Dan

then once i save up enough cash im going to buy myself a nice desktop :P seen a few at pc world today for about £1000 with 2x8600GT's 6gb ram 1tb hd intel quad corex2 q6600 so that will do for me
