A solution for random pks in dungeons/caves is to make them instance based like WoW but the 'top tier' players probably wouldn't be happy with this and I can't ever see it happening but it would solve the issue of people quitting due to mindless pking.

Pkers are selfish and dont consider other peoples play styles/play time, not everyone likes to pk but those who do just like to ruin everyone else's experience!
Pking for a boss by all means go for it, I can understand that or if youre enemies with another Guild but when it's mindless pking like for example if I'm Guildless and I'm just levelling and then a Group comes along and pks me what is the purpose of that? What can they possibly gain? It's people like that, that has lowered the user count, obviously the drops at the time didn't help but this is definately one of the reasons.

That has happened to me and I asked why and he just replied "Because I can, I pk everyone". People like this I can't stand, I'm no carebear but I just don't understand that sort of logic, if they have no beef with you why can't they just leave you alone?

If anyone is like that please enlighten me as to why!

People PK for the fun. So much more fun fighting another person instead of a limited AI mob.
Also, the mob wont care if this dies, a person will probably flame or get upset. When players bite, that's the best part.

Make mir like wow, and it would be the worst game around. Mir is shockingly bad, only the pvp/pk keeps it going. How can anyone enjoy pve on here? So many better PVE games around.

1 v 1 is fine or if its an even fight in numbers but when it's 5 v 1 then it's just getting a bit ridiculous and when you get people pking lower levels for the "fun" of it they're depriving that person of their enjoyment of the game, believe it or not some people enjoy other areas of the game and dont just focus on PVP, not everyone plays the game for that.
Mindlessly pking lower levels isn't going to attract new comers, it'll just scare them away, people are concerned about the user count dropping, is that what you want? To see it drop further?
It can't be blamed on the drops anymore as to why the user count is dropping as its still currently being updated for the better.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Curse10 mostly a PVE Guild (boss hunting) and only pk Guilds/people who get in their way of a boss hunt (which is fair enough if you see them as a threat)? So you must enjoy PVE to some extent to boss hunt most of the time otherwise you wouldn't do it regardless of drops.
So with that in mind why do you play this game if there are other games that do PVE better? Because there's other games that do PVP better if that's what you enjoy.

I refuse to bite when I get pk'd for no reason, I refuse to give them the satisfaction and just get on with it but most people don't have the willpower to not to bite lol

But thanks for the response!

Also just a suggestion to the team, could you make it so that you can't pk someone who's ~10 levels lower than you and visa verca, it would stop the lower level players who get pk'd by higher levels complaining and stop them from wanting to quit.
Higher levels can't really complain about this, it's only fair.

Thats all well and good until you got people running low level chars n blocking doors or standing on peoples drops

Thats fair enough but realistically you're not going to get a low level character getting to bosses to just stand on a Groups loot for example Orcs, they just wouldn't make it.
They could make it so that you're able to Repel, Shoulder Dash them etc as they don't do any damage so that wouldn't be classed as pking.
Besides high levels block doors anyway such as KS KR like Curse 10 and TKO (not all do it just the odd few).

The main issue is the commitment for the leaders.

Having a guild for progression, you need active leaders to keep all the guild in check, as well as organise hunts (so you need to know where would be good to hunt, what classes you need (Minimum) and how to get to the KRs ...also spawn times).
Casual guilds, they are good, but a lot of the people who want more items will leave these guilds when they outgrow them.

I tried starting a guild, and would've done well but I was a low level at the time, but I had a lot of time, now that I know more about the game and higher level, I have less time to organise hunts and such + I am in a decent enough guild :)
