Halo 2 is the next game in the Halo series. If this will be the last, is unknown. But, we do know, this is going to be a good game.

New Weapons
The new guns are unknown, but as for the elites, they got new rifles. Similar to a sniper rifle, but slightly different.
Also the players have a new assult rifle - This is still an assult rifle but with a built in zoomer, allowing you to snipe and assult.
Also, 2 hand guns are new - These are simply little guns one for each hand, with rapid fire...

The Warthog is still the same, but has a new gun. This is similar to the new assult rifle. As for the covernant, they have a load of new vehicles.
The New Phantom

Mobs
At this moment in time, the only known new mob is known as the 'Brute'. This is similar to the Elite.

X-Box LIVE
Halo 2 Is X-Box LIVE Enabled.
Last year at E3 - Halo 2 Single player demo was released. By now, they've completed a game - and it has been completed for over almost a year. So, This year, they released the Multiplayer Demo.

It looks a wicked game, and Bungie have finally given a release date - And they're sticking with it. This is 9th November.
It was originally planned for 9th November, last year, but due to faults on the multiplayer section, they've prosponed(sp?) it. As of E3 this year, it was finally completed (the multiplayer parts), exept one thing - X-Box LIVE (my fav part ^^). Now they're working on this, and hopfully, will release it this year, other wise, they'll have to miss that out.

GFX-Wise, Halo 2's going to look bad infront of games like Half-Life2, Doom3 and Unreal 3.

Also, more enemy types have been confirmed, like the Prophet.

The new assault rifle is actually called the Battle Rife. It fires slowe, but with more accuracy and power.

Half-Life owns normal halo for customisability, speed, and playability.

Halo really kicks it's ass in special effects & cars.

Halo 2, because it's primary machine is an extremely out of date console (haxb0x), will just not be able to compete with any games the PC has to offer.
