has any1 translated the npcs yet iv tryed and failed

i update my ms to chineese simp and then tryed using differnt online translators and yes it did convert them into english but the npcs still dont make sence ((((
only the drop files and npcs the only thing holding me bk ((((((

if some 1 out there can help thanks if not can i use my old server npcs or all the @commands changed to? as i know abt @npc_ and {}

The files were supllied to everyone in the same condition, means everyone that wants a server online will need to sit through and convert 1652 npc files as they are all linked to each other. It starts off calling them in Market_Def which in turn calls and uses files inside QuestDiary, Convert_Def/Market_Def and Convert_Def/QuestDiary.

Now for exmaple I added a Armour Dye NPC which I took straight from 2.9 with some tweaks, which just went stright into Market_Def and worked as it was a fairly simple NPC.

Its quite a long process not only Converting all them txt files from ASCII/Chinese but making sure that it does not screw up anything in the process. I cannot imagine (though I may be wrong) somebody to sit through god knows how many days of converting these files, testing and sorting so its all working 100% with correct English then posting them all up here (which is the majority of the work if you agree) so you can get your server online which would probably be in competition with theres...

I suggest no matter how boring and long it takes you - your gonna have to sit down, maybe get some mates to help you and convert them - waiting on here for somebody to "provide" the files is just not gonna happen for a long time I feel.

Did TheDeath and Blasteron etc not provide there files to aid you along? Is this not good enough? Not enough files done? Better stick to V2.9 server then...

if i had the time to sit around infront my pc 24/7 then yes i would be more then happy to translate npcs if i knew how ! and for the record im never in competion
with my server i host my server 24/7 of my own bk cos the truth is i like making pple happy and work very hard at it ,as for finding the time required to translate npcs its not poissible for me as i have 2 kids + newborn and getting over my c_section , pple out there seen to always think some1 wants to be better then them im not like that all! All i do is try to stay up todate for my friends (no browie points gained here) so plse like i asked before if any1 is will to help me out a little is all im asking 1 last thing yeh maybe because im female why i cant understand server files as easy as rest of you all only got into pcs 3 years ago i think iv come along way personaly concidering iv self taught myself

I am sorry if my post sounded bad - was not the objective of the post - Myself and other are still to this day working on the files, there is so many of them its going to take a week or so longer to finish them, then after than test them all. As for servers - I am not going to run one - so matters not to me, or you about competeition anyhow - personally there should be a few up (2.9 or 3.0) as each server host gears there server slightly different anyhow and attracts a diff set of players...

I dont also have time to sit around my PC 24/7 to be honest - How i achive it is thus:

I first of all translated MObs, StdItems and Magic but kept a spreadsheet with reference to both ASCII and Chinese. I then open up the NPC in Both notepad and MSWORD (Chinese plugin) and Use Babel much like everyone else to translate. I read the text and if possible make some sense of it and type into txt file.

I just do XX number of files, get bored, sick etc and have a rest, do something else - its a gradual process and eventually all the files will be sorted. My main point was I personally dont think people at this stage after working for god know how many Man Hours on translating the NPCS etc to shove them up for download - in time people will post them up. Good luck anyhow in someone posting there files, probably broken english and of course there items wont match your etc (unless they post there db as well).

I have spent the last few weeks doung the same as every one else, get server working, rename and translate files to very poor english.
It will still take many more weeks to eventually suss out what the npc is actually saying every single file will have to be redone again, even possibly more than once.
When ei 2.9 came out it took many months to clear the korean out of the files.
This is far more intricate.
Take your time mate, peeps will release bits and bats once they are sure they are correct, I for one dont fancy releasing translated files just to be knocked and critisised beause they are incomplete, inaccurate or even worse damaged..
