Not at all true.

You need version 2.0 for 4K 60fps. Until recently the standard has been v 1.4 which will only feed 4K in 30 fps.

you are not one for falling for the "this one has gold plated pins so makes the TV look better" BS then?

there are even hdmi cables that have Ethernet properties now so you can get internet through hdmi port.

All hdmi cables carry ethernet, i simply didnt realise there was a post 1.4 version now. Been out of touch with electronics for a few years
