Yeah, numbers are always going to swell first few weeks before subsiding. It's lulled now, for various reasons.

Others like myself have a few issues keeping me offline, but I'm still playing.

Hmm. Marketplace looks awful. While I agree that **** can't be policed properly those threads should be deleted.

I'll pass.

if you're referring to the accounts and items sold for real money, this is something Jamie has agreed to allow.

But this shouldn't stop you from playing, all servers suffer for items being sold for rl cash its just that on marble is more visible.

It is off putting for new players seeing that someone can just buy up everything so easily.

It's bugging me too if I'm honest, I might have to prevent it on LOMCN at this rate, I wasn't expecting so many.

Personally just see players jumping ship as a potential new player.

Not only that but it sends a beacon out to Chinese who come to use their gold farming bots to make £ like they always do.

Other nationalities are available.

I dont like it either, but u can't stop ppl from selling pixels for real life currency. Sure (and I'm for it), ban them from lomcn..but they will find 10 othery ways to do it. It was always like this.
Also do their hacks work on here? I'm not so sure..

(My Opinion) Since Jamie agreed to allow such transactions with his interventions with account sales (changing Emails) Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon for a quick sale and quick cash.

Yes, you cannot police it 100% but allowing it. It is hurting the server more than banning it.

Personally I am seriously against any kind of P2W too, as its totally defeats the point in playing the game.

Whats the point in buying a lvl 40+ character, when 90% of Mir is lvling your character?
Whats the point in buying rare items when the other 10% is gearing yourself up?

I can't see the point.

Hacks i doubt, im not a coder guy but is a bot/macro different to a cheat/hack? Harder to detect and such as it doesnt actually manipulate the client?

Regardless, removing all that trash from the marketplace would give a much better perception of the state of the game to new players. Dont know why anybody wouldnt want that.

As above, P2W players are blind to the solid fact that once they have everything they get bored and stop playing. That boredom translates in their head to "ffs this serv is boring and i spent £2000". When in reality the enjoyment comes from actually earning £2000 worth of kit. Its a strange illusion that only gets realised when you lose it all.

Point being that players then quit, however cherished they are by the greater UC, which drops, and people think the serv is failing. Domino effect.

Anything which plays the character for you (bot) move you around hunting I etc would class as cheating.

Yes i would agree, that wasnt what i was trying to say. I just meant a bot isnt manipulating the client like a hack does.

Unless im mistaken.

Some do, some don't. They can hook in to things, which isn't technically hacking in to the client. It's incredibly dependant on what your individual understanding of what those words mean.

It's all immoral though :D

Worthing is depressing.
I don't think stopping P2W will solve anything, but preventing posts on LOMCN should be done.

If people want to sell that's fine but flooding LOMCN with adverts is annoying.

Maybe a "freeweb" market place should be made where people can take it off LOMCN,
