Safe to say for the past few servers I've played on it's not actually the Chinese player causing the P2W issues.

You just have to look at Hamad and co buying up gold left right and center along with the Lkira family dropping £4-500 on a Crystal Armour.

Stop it from being posted on the forums, it looks bad tbh and draws the wrong type of player.

You can never police it and it isn't worth the time and effort spent investigating it either. If people want to make money from Mir, I say let them. But do it away from LOMCN.

If I can inject here, I noticed this server's marketplace section is spamming the 'recent threads' section, personally I couldn't care less what it might do to this particular server as I went to play another. It used to be with official euro mir that forum needed a marketplace section because there was no TM and other enhanced selling, trading options in game. Now such section only serves for selling for rl money.

It is to be expected that successful startup, heavily populated server will fill the forums for a while (given it gets its own section here) but the marketplace activity takes the mick, especially because its selling for rl money... Afinity server also has marketplace section but it is not used at all. It used to be the rule you could check LOMCN forum and when you came back the next day likely you'd still see some of the threads from the previous day at the bottom of that recent posts section, now something gets posted and in few hours it moves out of that section. I suppose its not all due to those selling threads but they only help to make activity which as some commented throws bad light on the server and I'd say not just the server, but the whole community here which I take is community of gamers at heart, not jobbers.

I can see that here and there someone decides to stop playing and some will then attempt to sell their acct. but this looks like pple started on the server with the intention of selling leveled char or items, ie, they didn't start as players but as a sort of farmers or jobbers, looking to make a buck off it.

I think after reading all the comments, It's not good for LOMCN, Marble and the player base in general to allow such public trading, If you want to do it, take it in game, I'd appreciate it if you didn't spam global with it too often.

so in short , you're not against macros :P since they don't play your character , and hunt for you, they just do a predetermined set of commands
Just clarifying , cheats on mir, haven't been too real since 2008-2009 when MirLander , and others similar to it have been detected.

Anyone who is worried about people hacking/cheating, only cheats are the ones that are ingame and that would be - ding ding ding ... SELLING $ $ $ and buying it =)

Anything which plays the character for you (bot) move you around hunting I etc would class as cheating.

Any external program which gives the player an unfair advantage over others is cheating - regardless of the complexity of that program.

the rl selling gold/chars in game and on forums made me stop playing the server. I know it happens but I lost the immersion in the game after that.
