[Help] Ftp Problem [Help]

i cant seem to connect to ftp's at all, iv tried taking all ym firewals of and all McAffee of, i rang my ISP up and they said its somet to do with my laptop :l
but iv conected to ftp's befor on laptop
maybe anyone can suggest what it could be, maybe urban knows somet????

Try downloading explorer again and re-installing it.

What FTP are you trying to specifically connect to, it could just be down.

If you still can't connect, try turning off pasv mode.

i cant conenct to any ftp :l

thru program or internet explorer

its pissin me of

lol i aint that stupid to think my comps ****ed cos i cant connect to one ftp :P

iv tried loads, i got my mate to try same ones he connects fine to them

anyone else got wanadoo broadband that can tell me if their ftp's work fine


plus that ftp wont work, as iv tried laods others like cuteftp and thats worked befor for me :l its somet to do with my isp or comp nothin to do wid internet explorer or programs im guessing :S

ok so it connects... and disconnects right away...

also try...
telnet ftp.mir3europe.com 21

3 things can happen..

1. displays 220 Legend of Mir 3 FTP.
2. displays Connection to host lost. right away
3. displays Could not open connection to the host, on port 21: Connect failed

do you use a router?

is it happening on all other ftp servers as well? even ftp on other ports?

HaHa very wierd, just upgraded on got wanadoo wireless and talk, now it works perfect lmao

so it was their fault :l
