Hey,

I'm having a problem playing (or rather starting) Medal of Honour AA/Battlefield extension.

It loads up, with no errors in the console and then loads onto a black screen prior to the EA Games, before turning off.

I have a x800xl gfx card, a reasonable processor, 1gig of ram and plenty of HDD space.

Whats the problem, anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Try reinstalling?

Usualy graphics problems would turn the computer off from the experience iv had from them.

Sounds like a important file is corrupt or something maybe.

Ty for the input.

I've tried all the standard tests before posting here, such as reinstalling, cleaning my drivers + installing latest graphic drivers, installing fresh copy of XP (yup I went to that extent :P) and so forth.

Nothing so far has worked, and I've tried searching the net to see if Allied Assault has a problem running on dual core or ATi cards.

No luck :(

I would be very suprised if it was a bottleneck of graphics that was preventing me from running the game m8, but nonetheless, I've set all the effects in the Catalyst Control Centre to performance or lower in some cases to no avail.

Nowt. :( Ni patches.

ps - I guess I've given up all home and put the game away into a high shelf, never to be played again *cries*. :'|

On a side not, if you can respond, is there anything wrong with a Mac these days compared to a PC? A lot of films seem to plug it, is this just Apple's commercialism at play or is it genuinely ... better (vague I kno).

MARKETING.

If you do ANY gaming... then a MAC is definitely not your choice.

The MAC is "trendy".

The new commericals with the pc and mac guy are so incredibly stupid, especially the virus one.

Unless you are some professional with very specific needs (which would mean you already know what you need) then there is no need for a mac.

I see... they look nice though lol, PCs can look nice but Apples just got the whole simplistic look perfect.

Ah well, was curious. =)
