Help : my mates pc!!

Ok well basicly my mate messed his pc up got a blue screen everytime u turn it on there was no way of acessing the pc in order to do a system restore so we loaded a fresh copy of windows on (baring in mind we lost everything) we have no drivers or anything cant even install his modem onto the pc but it works we need to get all of the drivers we dont no what the pc bits are either lol so we are well and truly screwed i have a pic of the pc and i can tell you the specs if any one could help me find at least the usb drivers for this pc i would be so thankfull :)

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800+
2.08GHZ
512 RAM
Useing Xp Pro

Thanks if any one could help the usb ports are on board so im guessing there is 1 main driver which it seems near enough impossible but i know some 1 on lomcn some where could possible know some thing thanks for reading this and thank you if you can help please post back

Do you know about the hidden partition on those PCs? If you press F11 at the Packard Bell Boot screen you go into the system recovery mode and can install windows again with all correct drivers etc... I know as my family have the same pc :).

THANK YOU SO MUCH <3 <3 <3 <3 i knew there was somethign like it didnt know how to get it to come up on the boot screen though thank you so much

ye i was about to suggest the same thing, my old pc was a Packard Bell and they like to install everything on that hdiden partition, and that smart recovery console can be accessed with the f11 key

well done to you Hazuki for beating me to it :P

lol n1 got it all sorted now :D just think it needs a new mother board lol originally my mate was running it from his flat and as its a flat he was ona leccy metre and every so ofer the power wud cut out after the money had ran out in the metre i told him that wasnt good for his pc he had no anti surge sockets or anything and he eventually messed his pc up got the blue screen cos of it but the whole pc works fine now apart from the usb ports :S some reason i dont know maybe he got a surge and messed his mother board up its weird i goto install a ADSL modem onto the pc the install runs fine untill it gets to the "Connect your Adsl Modem Now" and this scren wil disapaer automaticly ect.. but when i connect the modem the power light on the modem does come on but the screen doesnt disapear does any body have any suggestions what i may have to do? iv tried different modem and drivers iv tried connecting different usb ports onto the mother board but still its the same does anybody have any solution?

i hate corporate set up machines, they just store all your drivers and back up files on the main hard disk and don't give u any driver CDs

only ever bought 1 PC that was 7 years ago ever since i built my own
