Hey,
I'm in a very unfortunate position, I remember a few months ago someone else making a similar thread and I never thought I'd be in their position. But here I am, I really hope someone can help me.
A - Level question, looks simple as hell, but I just can't put my finger on it:
In a desert excersize a tank travels x kn on a bearing on 050 (degrees) from a base O then y km on a bearing of 140 (degrees) to a bunker B. Caculate the magnitude and direction of displacement of vector OB.
To make a mathematical model I get this:
For example's sake, lets assume x = 6 and y = 7. (The first of six variables for each question on the paper)
So in every case, I'm missing two unknowns, making the sine and cosine formulas useless. Maybe I'm missing something with the bearings?
Any help at all, appreciated. Ty in adv.
